Rapidly? Nah. The American Leviathan is in strong demand all the time.
Well the starting point is like 80-90k for a Yukon... at year 10 they are probably 10k... so I'd say it's a painful trip to mordor that costs 1/2 a CC(cartel Condo).

10 years old with 100k are $25k-$30k. Msrp was "only" like $65k back then too. They're pretty much the safest bet for a luxury product there is.

I'm at 6.5 years of GMC Canyon ownership. I'll probably keep my next DD as long, so depreciation isn't a concern. It will be what it will be.

Lady :melon: and I are looking at another house in the next year or so, something with a shop, and garage/carport parking for DD's. She has a 2015 X3, a really nice example, so itr would be beneficial for both of us to keep our vehicles out of the sun as much as we can.

I am greatly allured by the depreciation of bmws. If you avoid the high end model pitfalls and can do the basic DIY, getting a $80-90k car at 50%+ depreciation is very :megusta:

Erins wagoon is paid for and low miles. I dont see it going anywhere.

Good used BMW deals can be found. The lady got a 2015 X3, S-Drive. N20 (Only downside) fully loaded with 40k miles for 20k. It's got about 50k now, and everything works well. I've had to replace a few plastics from age, but it's a great SUV.

Escalade is not out of the question, but for the price I'm looking at, I'd have to go older and higher miles.
60-65k is about where I'd like to land.

I did look at the German and Japanese offerings. The Sequoia is about the most comparable in regards to tow rating (Yes, some of the Mercs can tow, but are $$$, also large Merc outside of warranty is a no.) but the Sequoia feels really cheap inside compared to the GM offerings.

What's what I am saying ... the used market is still too hot. This will not maintain going forward. Most of the country won't be buying 100k behemoths new anymore that the .gov money dried up.

you still get the big write off on large trucks and suvs at the 6k lb mark.
Vehicles weighing more than 6,000 pounds but less than 14,000 receive a maximum first-year deduction of up to $28,900 in 2023 (up from $27,000 in 2022). After that, you follow a regular depreciation schedule.

I want them to build Z06s non stop, so they'll be attainable on the used market in a couple of years. I think I've written off GT3s as ever being obtainable, but there's a chance enough Z06s are made that they'll depreciate quite a bit when the next hot thing comes out.

It's not really a write off. Your business actually has to generate that sort of a profit so that you can then rapidly depreciate it. That's not easy.
