Lisa was in the hospital for 2 days because she was having steady contractions. She’s at 34 weeks so too early. She’s also got a placenta previa meaning the placenta is over the cervix. So it’s an automatic C section. Thankfully the contractions stopped and she’s back home. But man shit got real for a few days there. Didn’t know if they’d cut her open and deliver the baby or not.

IMO that's the better way to have the kid. You're out of the OR in 45 min. A few hard days at home and 2 weeks of no heavy lifting. But yea... 34 weeks is no bueno.. although my buddies kid was just about that and seems to be doing just fine,

As someone with a wife who's delivered both ways, a vaginal birth is 1,000,000% the better option.

Michelle wanted to make a cute little valentines thing to announce the pregnancy on socials:
12 weeks today, ultrasounds this morning all looked great. Was wild to see the difference between this and the 8 week one where she was just a blob/flicker.
That's awesome dude. The little buggers sure do grow fast. But hey! At least you didn't see two of them in there.

I’ve secretly been hoping for two so we can one-and-done this whole rodeo I’m sure it’s exponentially harder raising two through the infancy and toddler stages though.

I'm happy for Brad because nobody jerks it to the Miata harder on this forum and that is the Crown Prince of Miatas.

This is the route I’d prefer to take, but Jesus fuck adoption is expensive. Maybe cheaper through a county agency, but any of the private agencies we looked at were $40k+, and you aren’t even guaranteed to end up with a kid after dropping all that, have to pay some of the fees annually to stay on their list until you get a kid, etc. Was wild.

So what’s poppin? Work is kind of a bitch around here …
And we got major storms … and the drought seems
Like a different life …
I haven’t been around much because work sucks now and takes up all my time
Looks like things have been dead here.
Went to the mountains this weekend which was cold but quite nice. Looked at the scenery, played some disc golf and games, ate/drank, chilled, played with the dog. All in all fun and relaxing.
