Yes I say "New Q3" and they won't even consider it because the one they drive was shit. Which they weren't good but they were pre MQB, and the new ones are MQB.

It's kind of the capital of the northern lower peninsula. We've got BMW, MB, Audi, Volvo, just missing Land Rover, Porsche, Jag, and exotics.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 4:29 pmTraverse City has an Audi Dealer?Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 4:26 pm
Interesting that luxury brands seem to building inventory, while mainstream is still screwed. Could be an indicator of price sensitivity.
Just looked, and it looks like my local area is similar. The Audi dealer has more inventory on the website than I've seen since moving here 2 years ago. Including this whorange Q3 (looks cool, don't want) https://www.auditraversecity.com/new/Au ... 45295f.htm
BMW inventory seems to be increasing, as does MB.
Meanwhile, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, are all decimated with lots empty outside of a few used cars.

I really like the way this whorange Q3 looks, I had no idea it could be had in such a color. If I was in the market for something like this, I'd go drive it. Seems

It's basically a Crosstrek but with the GTI engine, DSG, and haldex awd. It's the best compact SUV you can buy IMO.

I was thinking about it the other day, I really liked our Crosstrek. I honestly would have kept it if Carvana wasn't so with the offers.
Interesting comparison that a Q3 is just a fancier Crosstrek with a better powertrain. Still no need for a 2nd vehicle, but perhaps the Q3 should be on the list if I ever need it.
As I've mentioned, when we went cross country in our I really realized that the Cucktrek was the vehicle we actually needed and kinda wanted one... BUT it is still a Cucktrek, comparing it to a nice Audi is funny.
I mean most people don't 'need' the medium off-road prowess either but I agree with your point. They are quite popular around here. I also find them a tad less depressing than CRVs and Rav4s for whatever reason. I guess that they look more like a lifted car than a mom pod.

Well, they're small. Like, just going grocery shopping fills it up small. It works great as an around town/commuter type thing, but as a primary vehicle, it's really tough. I don't think I'd want to take a cross-country trip in it (just for lack of space for packing stuff) and while it can take 4 people with surprising comfort, you better hope they don't have much with them. We picked up aunt and uncle from the airport, they had two checked bags, and I had to strap one to the roof because I just couldn't fit the two bags, backpacks, and 4 people in the thing.
I still really like the things and half-want another one, so I don't really get the hate.

The ride height was nice for just getting in and out of the thing, nothing more. But it feels like a hatchback when driving (because it is) so it's actually quite a bit of fun for what it is because of that.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 11:25 amI mean most people don't 'need' the medium off-road prowess either but I agree with your point. 4 people with luggage ain’t gonna fit into anything but a monster imo. Actually a Q5 is just about right for thatDetroit wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 11:28 amWell, they're small. Because once the novelty of putting the top down wears off, you realize it's actually a pretty shitty vehicle.
BUT as I said earlier, the Cucktrek is small. Smaller than the Jeep. I don't think you guys would be able to go down to one, personally.

Hmm looks like Cucktrek is about the same size out back (20cu ft) as the GTI. Interesting. The mini trunk was 8.9 Cu feet... kinda crazy how much "bigger" the GTI/Cucktrek are...
Q5 is 26 cu feet
4R is 46 cu feet !
Defender is 34 cu feet!
Wrangler is 32 cu feet
Bronco is 38 cu feet
Wow the 4R is cavernous.

Well, the Cucktrek is just a lifted Impreza, which is a competitor to the Golf/GTI. Makes sense that the space is similar.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 4:10 pmHmm looks like Cucktrek is about the same size out back (20cu ft) as the GTI. Interesting. The 4R really is cavernous, it was a big reason we both liked it when we first drove it, and still like it today. You can fit a TON of stuff in it for it's overall size, and that's made it a pretty decent "truck" for us. It does everything, except drive past gas pumps.
