My honda does carplay wirelessly (unlike the rental HRV), you only need wifi. Which is 5/7. Bmw's and Audi's definitely do that too.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 9:50 pm I don't really get the terrible tech in cars thing in a new car, don't you just plug in your phone and it does everything?
One thing that annoys me is that I have to unplug the phone, cancel nav, restart it, enter in a new destination/search along the way, then re-plug in the phone if I want to say, add a stop for gas/food/coffee along the way.
That is how it is in every car though, of all of the brands I've been in recently - Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, Jeep, VW, Ferd, etc. it's all the same.

Latest on the 86 is it's supposedly being processed at port tomorrow the 24th. After that it'll go on a train to Chicago, then from there on a truck to Indiana. Too soon for a firm ETA, but fingers crossed it won't be more than a couple weeks.

I think the only car I've ever put that many miles on was the Bang Bus...I really don't
but still
I imagine we will have the Beep Beep for longer than that. Already at 32K, just rolled over two years of ownershit as well.

Dat MK7/MK7.5 life.

Still love mine. Just shy of 60k now and it's been the best car I've owned, without question. I'd still take the STi if we're talking only performance driving, but for daily duties plus a bit of fun, these things are hard to beat. And it's averaged 26.7mpg over the time I've had it.

They're overall pretty great little cars, for sure.

Yeah, that's what I've been averaging and that's on 87 donkey piss. I took it on a work trip to Virginia and got 36 MPG. It's just a well-rounded car.coogles wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 11:54 amDat MK7/MK7.5 life.![]()

I get pretty similar FE in the cuckwagon but it takes 93 which is rather
these days. Fortunately I use like a tank a month, maybe. The only time I drive more is pretty much when the mileage is expensed for the job. I'm getting $260 from last week and spent about $50 on gas

Beep Beep is at 32K miles and two years of ownershit

So far i's had absolutely zero issues/warranty visits. I went to the rape palace this AM for an oil change/tire rotation. I thought this would be free but evidently our Mopar oil changes expired on 5/25

$135 for oil change and rotation, no free wash, but at least a free K-cup

I will be just doing it my damn self moving forward.

They're only building a handful, otherwise I'd be very tempted to find one. It's basically a GT3 or some unobtainium thing.
