Yea that’s a For sure thing. My last few vehicles speak to that also.

Wonder what the price is on this thing.

It's ridiculously tempting if it's under $80k

Manual R8s are still hovering 80-100k for the later 1st gen.

I’m sort of curious about convertible values... while I think the idea of one is great as this would be a total toy.

Is it essentially like getting the “automatic” because .2 seconds 0-60 makes a difference in the street and you will be denied Valhalla?!

Also P cars sound pretty bad in the turbo trim, would love some “theater”. I have been looking at the R8s for a bit of time, but can’t really figure out the details. There are “2” generations, but some are more desirable than others. First gen has a really dated interior it seems, and that atrocious single clutch auto.

Does the 2nd gen come with manual ? In the V10 ?

911 Cabs don't seem to keep their value as much as the hard top equivalents.

Better price
At 30k I’m expecting original owner and a 3” stack of maintenance records from the local dealership, with Zillspec maintenance at full retail.

Speaking of merc, how’s the daughters sled holding up?

I helped my buddy buy a 2016 e350 with 80k miles he has since put, 45k miles on it (2 years). No issues at all and I did his spark plugs.... which wasn’t super hard the other day as well air and cabin filters. $1700 service for $80
The 2006 MBZ has gone from 88K to 99K without a hitch. Two oil changes, some headlight bulbs and I put new shocks and tires on it when I bought it. It sits around a lot during the VID. We took a road trip in it to the Midwest where it performed like a champ. I view the E 350 Sport with solid maintenance history and low miles as an intelligent way to roll in a nice, classy sedan that you can expect 250K miles out of for less than $20K. More expensive versions will lure you in with powah (E550 has a N/A 382 hp V8 and doesn't cost much more) , but they all come with air suspension and other shit that breaks.

I brought these up once and was almost drummed out of the forum for liking a Ferrari with the "engine in the wrong place." I have never heard any tale of their ease of maintenance (relatively speaking) until this morning.

Could be a good way in cheap, but resale will be difficult.

Low mileage Lancer Evos don't appear to have lost much of any value, especially the VIIIs and IXs.

So Lotus :nuke: Ed the entire lineup
Needed to happen, they're all ancient at this point. Hopefully the new lineup will be awesome...but if it's not, it'll just make Evoras that much more valuable.

A big bet to make at this point in time... Buy Evora and have it appreciate because new stuff sucks (unlikely) or buy it and have it tank... because new offerings at nearly the same price are way better.

Hmmm... Tough time.

Thought about them. And I do think that the MR version would be a nice bet. Not for me but for someone for sure. They will be rare birds with lower miles and 100% stock.

Another actually attainable vehicle is the GT-R early gen 2s are in the 70s now... which is :notbad: I don't foresee them dropping MUCH. But you never know I suppose.

But I don't see myself being "happy" with it, just like a fancy 370z, great car but at the end of the day ... meh.

I've always been "meh" on the GT-R too, hard to put my finger on why.

1. It looks like a mediocre coupe
2. It doesn't sound like anything
3. It is quite common

Are my top 3 guesses

The new ones are very likely to be electrified or share quite a bit with Volvo since they're owned by the same company.

I think the Evora will go down as the best Lotus before the Chinese got involved. It's an actual livable car unlike the Elise, bulletproof reliability using a Camry engine, but still maintains the Lotus "charm".

I love the Evora.
