I know it's pretty common, not sure of the specifics.
Electronically, it's an all encompassed unit, only major retrofit would be a fuel pump to push the 38 psi to the injectors.
And it's really the best home for my engine. I can't sell it to a spec E30 racer because of the cam and valvetrain upgrades.
Other than that, no one really wants M20's.

I would be remiss in failing to point out the linear upward progression of free shit being offered to you. We went from Subaru wagon to BMW 2002. Let us know when your uncle offers you his 930 Turbo.
It doesn't sound too horrible, and holy crap would that be a fun car!
Mine has a cam, raised redline, larger injectors, long tube headers and a tune from a great tuner.
Probably making 130-140 at the wheels.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

2002 is a legit classic. It's the Genesis of the 3-series.
The E30 is the beginning of the "Ultimate Driving Machine" tag line, and the yuppie stigma, but the 2002 is the Alpha.
A couple hundred years ago when I was in high school my English/film teacher had a red 2002 tii that all the car guys would over whenever he drove it to school. It was the height of cool in its day.
Really loving the idea of selling it to DPlac so we can all monitor the restoration.
Where are these mangos?

Going to make a minor correction.........the UDM tag came with the E21.

Bronco configurator is live !

60 grand for a Ford that is not a GT500. I dunno man. I think I'm going to wait and see.
Wake up old man, things are expensive now. You can also get one for 28k if you truly wanted.
We’re talking
lockers
BO sound system
Metal bumpers
12” infotainment
Twin turbo and 400 lb feet of torque
Etc all for for about 2-5k less than the wrangler

I'm not down. Nor am I down with the the insane prices of used cars ATM, although that's going to change.

Things are only expensive because people are paying those prices. As soon as they stop...it'll be interesting.
I'm still not convinced that Ford will be able to launch the Bronco well...the complexity is

Yea they also went on it with countless editions available at launch, several body styles and roofs. It’s kind of insane since they have exactly 0 experience in the field unlike Jeep. Which still had tons of minor issues at launch.
I heavily weighed the bronco before pulling the taco trigger. The bronco is the better vehicle for me. But it’ll likely be a Complete mess in the first year... 2022 that may be a decent time to get one though

Ford managed to fuck up the Explorer...something they've been building mostly the same way in the same plant for decades. The Bronco is in a different category, in a completely redone plant, a brand new platform, a model like they've never built, with insane build complexity. I honestly think it'll take them a few years to get the bugs worked out. I wouldn't touch one before 2023 at the earliest.

Complexity isn’t all that much more than the F150. Which has 2 chassis lengths, 3 beds, 3 cabs, and 4 engines across, what, 5-6 different trim levels? Sure they make more pickups than this. But prices are adjusted accordingly.

Probably won't unless the stretch pay loans stop.
Which I feel like should be coming due soon. Surely people are going to tire of their vehicles and then quickly realize how underwater they are and the bank won't let them roll the negative equity into another $60,000 Tahoe, right? RIGHT?!?

Car loan terms will only get to be so long. When you have to roll a bunch of negative equity from an 84mo loan into another and the payment is a fortune, people will re think.
Maybe.
