What's the Carvana offer?
I'll have to refresh it, but it was $28,400 I think.
They said valid for 6 days for me

2022 wrx hmmm this could be a very interesting vehicle
This is intriguing.

Between the 400Z, Bronco, and WRX, we'll have at least THREE WHOLE vehicles with manual trans options in 2022.

So in your careful planning of finances and life decisions you are not worried at all that you guys leaped into a mortgage during a pandemic in a state where you see wildfire smoke off your balcony? Pandemic meaning those who have the means to move elsewhere or those who cannot afford living in your area will move elsewhere (within the state or out of state) since WFH is going to be a tenant and die in that state last.

:iono: man I listen to a few podcasts and most of the ones based in California talk to guests of all backgrounds who are pretty much on the same :notsure: boat
No...very few people are willing to just up and move from a region. Family, familiarity, whatever. CA is a great place to live for many people. There won't be a tangible impact to CA property values or tax base unless the entire state falls into the ocean.
:dat:

Also, CA is objectively the best place in the US, best weather, amazing scenery, access to everything you could imagine - pro sports, amazing food, job opportunities, hiking, camping, surfing, skiing, race tracks, world class museums, you name it. There are plenty of people who would happily stay if the prices level out.

Comparing TX to CA is fucking :lolol:

I have spent at least six months in both states, TX fucking sucks in comparison, it is way cheaper for a reason.

 I haven't ever tried the AWD/rally car thing, it's certainly one I'd like to experience owning at some point. I'd love to buy JP's STI but I can't justify jumping into a way pricier vehicle to not drive it.

Carvana dat bish
I think that will be the plan.

Do you have to detail / wash them before carvana pick up? It's actually a legit problem for me, as there's a sinkhole on my street and I can't get around it due to low car / low profile tires that will certainly damage the wheel if I pop on/off the curb.
No, they clean it as prep.

By comparison, when we agreed on the price in June, Carvana was $12,XXX and :dillerman: trade offer was $12K flat. :mindblown: 25% increase in three months.

Not to harp on this, but what frustrated me most about CA is knowing all that stuff existed, but never being able to utilize any of it. Either too poor, or living in a an area that was a far drive (in traffic) from the real fun stuff, it wore on me hard. I also never made that much to compensate for the COL, I make more in MI in absolute dollhairs than I could in CA. There's simply too much competition for jerbs.

The best areas to live you have to have multiple millions of wealth to afford a condo in. It's just not realistic.

Weird. Even when I accidentally put in my TC zip code, they told me I had to drive to Grand Rapids to sell the vehicle but gave me a quote.

After my 2nd attempt at a quote I got an email asking me to text them a photo of the window sticker. I did that ~2 weeks ago and never heard a peep back. :doomed:

Did you input the VIN for the quote?

Oh, they don't know what the special edition means. That makes more sense now. It's a rare package, they likely have nothing to compare it to.

Yeah, KBB was showing $15k
It's nuts how that works.

I did VIN for the truck, but the plate for the BMW.
By entering in the plate, it gave me the VIN.

Little VIN trick there if you need it.

I see 3 for sale nationwide, 2 at a :dillerman: in CA for $29k and one private party in NC. Dude's asking $27k :doe: so one assumes it's worth significantly less than that.
