Oh, I got a real good look when the car landed on top of me.

Right now, front loaders are sold out everywhere, while top loaders are regularly available. insisted on a front loader, so that took some hunting, but we found one and got a solid deal.

Most address mold with specific coatings, materials or cycles. Ours has all three of those things.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:22 pmI still remember the horror stories of mold in the first gen front loaders and we will need capacity for two adults and two growing boys. I'm sure top loaders have caught up but I have those old days opinions in my brain.

Also, 4.8 cubic feet of space is plenty for us, but I could see needing more for a larger family.

My friend has front loaders and he stacks them (washer on top of driver), so that’s also another reason why some households choose them[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:35 pmI'm sure there are big enough ones for families too. Truthfully I have almost no knowledge about any of the options right now. I like the idea of putting in front loaders and a counter above them.

just adds those loads as bonus workouts.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:58 pmSuch a better solution than the old stacked top loaders.

That's what I did when we had a house. Was 5/7 to have the folding station right there.[user not found] wrote:I'm sure there are big enough ones for families too. Front loaders don’t clean as well as top loaders but they don’t wear your clothes out as fast because no agitator[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 7:53 pmOk... Talk to me about front load. I am not sold on the concept.

Those Aldi simmer s are fantastic. The butter chicken is also very good. We have a jar of each in our pantry right now.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:00 pmWe don't really have any good restaurants of any kind here, but I make some decent fake chicken tikka masala with Aldi stuff. A jar of the simmer sauce poured over some frozen chicken thighs in the slow cooker for 8-10 hours, plus some minute rice and frozen garlic naan, is a 5/7 meal for 1/7 effort.Detroit wrote:
Michele bought some frozen naan a while back that was epic. Naan FTW
Ideally add a decent 2x IPA with it.
Substituting "riced" cauliflower makes it 3/7, would not recommend.

Front loaders supposedly use less water. One reason why you don't ever really see top loaders in Europe. Also, front loaders can be placed beneath a counter top because no door to open on top.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:03 pmGood to know. Our stuff probably has a couple years left in it so I'll be digging in more soon.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:01 pm
Biggest thing for us is top loaders bang around when the load gets uneven...and it's almost impossible to wash big loads like bedding or dog beds more than one item at a time. We've had both, and front loaders work best for us. Uneven loads can still be an issue, but is not as bad.
