After all of the overheating issues with Corvette, a large grill is a welcome addition on a car that could conceivably be used for the track. I really like it. I think it looks modern but still like a Z car. Small windows are annoying but that's the world we live in.

Also :manuel: + that Q60 Red Sport motor is badass. Those can make insane powah with a :tuna: too if that's your thing.

If this is sub $50K, it will absolutely blow the Supra out of the water.

I would still love to see a lighter, NA version to compete with the 86. This is a win though, I want it more than any other new cars I've seen in a while. Supra at $60K in auto only lost me. C8 is too rich for my blood but pretty cool. Miata and 86 are both awesome, Mustang/Camaro are cool. There's nothing really in between those and the big boys that is compelling currently. This seems to slot in nicely. Hopefully it is $40k. It won't be though.

A friend of mine is interested in purchasing a 2006 Honda Element....

Anything that is a major concern in terms of reliability?

Transmission I think. It is a softy too, built on civic components IIRC so maybe it will be eating through brakes and ball joints since it has a pretty big body. They are pretty :neat: doe

New Z looks..... ok I guess. Not nearly as cool as it could have been.

Neat they are making it though.

Base engine - 2.5 natty 4 (190 HP, 182 lb-ft) / 8AT
Upgrade - 1.6T (180 HP, 195 lb-ft) / 8AT
Hybrid - 1.6T and electric motor (230 HP, 258 lbft)/ 6AT

I think it looks pretty great, and that hybrid sounds enticing if the specs are true. The H/K hybrid system seems to deliver quite good driving dynamics with excellent fuel economy.

That's the production model? :notbad: At least it's trying to be stylish/futuristic.

This makes me laugh every time. Also the car doesn't look nearly as good in the press photos as it did during the reveal live stream with people standing next to it.

Yeah. It’s no 300zx. Sadly.

Also, press photos where the camera is 2’ off the ground are full retard. Nobody sees the car from that angle. You see it from a more top down point of view.

I get that the square grille is supposed to be a throwback to the original 240Z, but at least that car had a bumper to breakup the squareness. I feel like they could have done better, but as griff pointed out, it's functional AF.

Interesting they didn’t bring in more of the palisade styling.

I know! It's strange that it seems like Hyundai and Kia are bailing on "corporate design themes" and instead focusing on making each vehicle the best it can look in its segments. Since there's no real "brand equity" with Hyundai and Kia anyway, I think this strategy could work really well for them. I personally think the Palisade is ugly. Telluride looks 5/7 :doe:

Perhaps if the bottom half of the grill was painted body color or silver to break it up?

Some gray trim dividing it and tying in some side grills to match the roof trim might work. Also just make the headlights fucking round on all sides.

Imagine dailying that Z on philly moon craters. But still perfect car for derping in shithole country roads. I find the Z to be attractive inside and out aesthetically, the hood design kinda threw me off a little bit, but overall 5/7

Side profile looks good.
Rear taillights kinda reminds me of the electric mustang cuv rear end
Front end is fugly, maybe aquaire a look that’s roughly similar to kona would’ve probably be fine.
Engine and trans selections look good, atleast we won’t have another crappy CVT CUV

I have no use for a Z, but a decent sized good looking hybrid CUV is relevant to my interests.

And yeah, the Z has an odd face and shape.

New Z is badass, all of it is Desert approved, including giant flexpiece L88 hood for stuffing all those GREDDY BOOST pieces under it. Much fast, very furious.
