Haha, well you found someone who does good work, and that's a commendable achievement.

After the flood, I'm over home repairs.
I need to hire someone to replace some siding and paint the outside of my house.

Don't feel bad about it. Pretty sure you're like me and at this point doing floors would put me down for quite some time (and take me a long time to do it). No thanks. Laying flooring is a younger man's game.... one that doesn't know the cost of the damage it causes to your body later in life.

I did tile and hardwood in 4 houses in my life and there's no way I would do it again. Last time was 17 years ago, now I will gladly pay to have it done. My knees hurt thinking about it.

They ended up finishing this job up just before thanksgiving. Believe it or not I tried to update this thread a number of times before then but I was having major issues with Imgur playing nice with my newest phone. Icould never get the pics to upload and then would get sidetracked away.

Anyway, as somehwhat of a completist, I need to finish what I started so here goes....

As they got closer to finishing the inside they finally got the permit and broke ground for the outside staircase and eventual door

I was blown away by how much dirt came out of what seemed to be a small hole...

By the end of this job the contractors and we were getting pretty sick of each other..... They wanted $250 to haul away the dirt......I called BS....... So I placed an ad on Facetube Psychotic Market Place.... after the third person who wanted me to deliver it and the second one who planed on stopping by with a shovel and some garbage bags to take it home in their camry, I put a "FREE CLEAN FILL" SIgn on my lawn.... thankfully this guy came and got it and left my yard better than he found it....
