If I were single, I'd consider just living in something like that if I could find a cheap place to park it.

Jesus man. I just changed the water pump in my 2005 Silverado. I had to get a step stool to get in and put my hose removal tool by the heater core hookup lines. That's for a stock height 2wd. If I had to do anything on anything bigger my back would kill me. That shit is just massive. The hood opening went from the middle of ya boiz chest to the middle of his neck. My god

If you got a new truck every 2 years youd never even need to open the hood.Acid666 wrote: ↑Fri May 15, 2020 2:50 pm Jesus man. I just changed the water pump in my 2005 Silverado. I rarely flex the words "I TOLD YOU SO" in the moment of someones clear misery but I surely do think them.
Rewind to 11/2016. Ray bought a salvaged 2015 jeep willys for around $15-16k. He went full retard into new frame (bent from front end wreck), lift, tars, steel bumpers etc
He spend around $10-12k on mods and repairs best guess. So he is around $28k CASH MONEY into a salvaged jeep. This was his ideal choice for a first car for his then 15 yo daughter. I had my reservations combined with a side of
The was claimed to be "his" but it is very much my sisters as she drives it everyday. Logically thinking, this is a poor first car for a teen. High flip rate, poor visibility with a massive rear tire on carrier, zero park sensor or backup cam (no new tech). The add of massive steel bumpers would only increase the potential for damage.
She made it 1.5 years of driving but it was bound to happen. Last night 17yo stormed out in mood, got in and drove off. Ray had a few beers, I went over to help him with some house shit and he gets a call.
Dumbass backed the into a parked CRV in a parking lot. crushing the front end excessively. Across town (like 40 mins away) Rightfully so, CRV owner flips shit and wants cops with police report. 17yo freaking out and crying, calls ray ray who So now, slighly drunk ray has to be driven to scene to hold hand and solve a problem that he partially created because large

I enjoy reading back to page 1 in this thread. Its a pretty accurate logger of
I finally told ray, partially, about this and his camper/truck adventures. Hence we posted the comparison.
His first question/concern? "Did you tell them what I paid for the camper?" Me: well yeah its not a national secret, it was a good deal but its not like it will appreciate in value. He fully expects to "flip" the camper after using it a few times for a profit...

Zero profit opportunity, but compared to other endeavors, he'll likely lose the least on it.
