That's going to be a booming field.... REPO.. but I would also expect to get shot at...
Because it is MY CAR even though I don't OWN it.

I work with a chick who's SO is the exotic/ultra lux car leasing and repo business. Weird line of work, but she said those people default more than you'd think when a car is registered to an LLC that goes under or a divorce or something takes place. She said they routinely have McLarens, Lambos, etc packing their 2 car garage. People think they're loaded when they're not.
She said the physical risk is super low. These people know the cars are going to repo'd and usually they keys are left in the car with it parked outside ZFG.
I'd never get in the business of repoing poor's cars.

You don't want to drive deep into areas of Detroit to take back some busted up used car lot 2002 Nissan Altima from a crack house?Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 3:28 pmI work with a chick who's SO is the exotic/ultra lux car leasing and repo business. Who gave you the number ?[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:29 pm Just for shits and giggles, I did get a trade number put on the Trailcock this week. $25k.
KBB clean trade is $30219 and NADA clean trade is $33475 for reference.
$5-8k impact on trade values due to the coronavirus.
Also didn’t you buy it for 34? Nada seems way off

Well they can’t sell it for a few months so they need to figure in storage cost and resale a few months down the line.[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:29 pm Just for shits and giggles, I did get a trade number put on the Trailcock this week. $25k.

How does that work with the DMV being closed? Or is there an online portal that is still open to take care of that paperwork?[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 1:21 pmActually, NJ dealers got an exception to do sales remotely. Imagine that. It took a virus to bring dealerships into the modern times.
So, some are "operating."

Same here in California. You can buy remote and either pickup or have it delivered to your home.[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 1:21 pmActually, NJ dealers got an exception to do sales remotely. Imagine that. It took a virus to bring dealerships into the modern times.

They print you the paper plates at the dealer now, just expect a delay until you get the real plates and tags.max225 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 1:30 pmThat started here, and “home delivery”. If you’re buying another car I can’t see how the could give the Coronadome excuse. Yeah, my trade is isn’t worth shit, but neither is the car sitting on your lot. The delta between the two should be similar to what it was is a “normal” market.
If I had the I’d go buy a G8 now and wait until the craziness passes to off the GTI.
