I mean I'm not quite but if I sat down and really counted the vehicle spending it would be in the neighborhood of $1k/mo for the past 8 years. Basically $100k to end up with a stock 86.

Last 8 years is terrifying to think about for me...troyguitar wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 5:24 pm I mean I'm not quite but if I sat down and really counted the vehicle spending it would be in the neighborhood of $1k/mo for the past 8 years. Basically $100k to end up with a stock 86.
2011 TDI 8k (sales price-buy back)
2001 M3 1k
2012 370z 8k
2015 335i 8.5k
2016 M3 12k
2016 Mini JCW 7k
45k or so... $467 a month. Which isn't too bad i suppose. (no gas no insurance) but most everything else.
The COOPER IS HURTING A LOT... It is officially 1.2k a month as of right now. BUT BUT... WHAT's MY PAYMENT THOUGH... WHATs MY PAYMENT...

2003 Tahoe. Purchased in 2011. Still own it.
2012 Corvette. Purchased in 2014. Still own it.
2017 BMW. Purchaseed in 2017. Still own it. Owe 15K THIS IS THE STUPID ONE. But the CLS550 HVAC system sucked balls and nobody could fix it. That does not work in the desert.
2006 MBZ. Purchased fall of 2018. Still own it.

I guess that is a bit of a twist here... my cooper wouldn't have the 7k then, because "still own it" I was looking at it from a actual expense approximation I.E depreciation, which could be exacerbated right meow.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 6:46 pm 2003 Tahoe. The next gen hemi Grand Cherokee will be a worthy addition to this listDesertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 6:46 pm 2003 Tahoe. Purchased in 2011. Still own it.

If we’re just talking loses in depreciation, mods, maintenance, etc. so pure vehicle costs ignoring gas/insurance...
2012 GTI - owned 40k miles - $11k
1990 Miata - $2k
2003 Corvette ~ $19k
2014 BMW ~ $7k
So $39k since September 2011... $382/month including maintenance/mods seems not terrible, no ragrets.

Between down payments, loan payments, outright purchases, and parts/service, I've spent $132k in 10 years. Filtered it out in Mint.
Doesn't factor in the sale of anything, though.

True, but you could be in a fancy race beetle at that point.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 9:42 pmActually, that number is skewed a bit, because it doesn't factor in the sale of vehicles, or loans that aren't fully paid off yet.
