2020 Gorf with no camo. Front looks very okay. Back looks pretty much like a 7/7.5 which is fine.

Not a much of a fan for the front bumper design, but everything else I've disliked before have grew on me. On the second picture the b-pillar looks very much like the mk7, or at least appears to look like it.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 2:07 pm 2020 Gorf with no camo. Front looks very okay. Snoozefest 2020. I like the line in the side of the body, no feelings about the back end but it isn't much improved IMO, and the front end looks pretty dissatisfying for some reason.
This car could look better if it had any spice at all, nicer wheels, bigger spoiler, wide body fenders, skirts, . On this second point I do understand that the R has always tried to stay below the radar so I guess mission accomplished Volkswagen, good job!

Agreed, front bumper and headlights are so mediocre.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 3:53 pmNot a much of a fan for the front bumper design, but everything else I've disliked before have grew on me. A step backwards from the Mk7 IMHO. Mk4 still keeps the crown as best looking (and sounding) one.

I have no interest in the MK8 either. They are very practical cars but not that exciting and the new ones do nothing to change that. I think I'm jumping ship next too.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 4:10 pmit's a good thing I'm jumping the ship at the next port.
They always play it safe. I think maybe if they blacked out those fins in the bumper it could look a little better. Pump up the wheel arches a bit. Not to STI or Hype R levels but give them some bulge with a wider tire.

Just keep the MK7 in that case and add the most rediculous performance car you can afford, like an M3 or poorvette or something. seems like you'll be paying tax on another egg that someone else owned and sold for who knows what reasons.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 4:44 pm when I I'm toying with the idea of a mk5 2.5 beater after I dump the GTI

Wise idea is wise, 2 cars that serves best in both worlds. Plus putting less miles on both cars.Tarspin wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 5:31 pmJust keep the MK7 in that case and add the most rediculous performance car you can afford, like an M3 or poorvette or something. seems like you'll be paying tax on another egg that someone else owned and sold for who knows what reasons.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 4:44 pm when I I'm toying with the idea of a mk5 2.5 beater after I dump the GTI

if you have the garage space for it, plus the MK7 is way better of a car then the MK5 and it is 6 to 8 years younger and you already own it paid off and zero tax. Can't best that, it's the easiest way to keep money in your pocket.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 6:22 pmWise idea is wise, 2 cars that serves best in both worlds. I would like a second and third car but that ship has and gone. If I did have money and no I would grab a mid engine something and a

I think it looks pretty nice. Very similar to the Polo I rented. Don't like how hard the hood dips down though. But that's a small complaint.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 2:07 pm 2020 Gorf with no camo. Front looks very okay. Back looks pretty much like a 7/7.5 which is fine.

Huh... looks like a Golf.
The R is just way too reserved for me, if I'm blowing $40k I want something that looks like more than justaGolf. They are nice looking cars, but the GTI looks better, drives not much worse and is 75% of the cost.
