All the mustangs they had were 4cyl verts. We only got the USS Mullet because the V6 we jumped into didn’t have any keys inside for some reason so the dude gave us the big dick V8 SS as it was the only one left.
I’d take a Chally RT or SRT if they had one tho.

Slower than the base model more expensive than the turbo and gas mileage is hardly better than either. Diesel around me is more expensive than 93 so it makes no sense to anyone. I feel bad for Mazda. It’s a nice car but wrong time.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 8:34 pmWe’ve had maybe two people test drive it. Nobody cares.

It’s a bit of a delta 27 mpg vs 24 average. And the turbo diesel has 100 more torque. I bet it drives much nicer actually. And with the cash on the hood there is no premium for it ... why not

It’s a completely different power delivery. Just like my tdi was “slower” than a gti. But it wasn’t in daily driving. Because peak power hit at 2400 rpm...
It’s a different type of drive, ironically one you would likely enjoy very much.

I checked Pittsburgh, you guys are at $2.79 for regular and 3.32 for diesel. 50 cents is nothing to sneeze at but it will average better than the weezy gas motor and it’s
A more premium driving experience. With 6-10k on
The hood it makes all the sense imo

There’s no premium driving experience with a diesel, especially a 4 cylinder as diesels are still crap in terms of NVH.
Not sure what Mazda was thinking.

I think by premium they mean it makes enough torque down low that it’s hardly ever revving out.Swedish Chef wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 12:51 am There’s no premium driving experience with a diesel, especially a 4 cylinder as diesels are still crap in terms of NVH.

But it’s as slow as a crosstrek. So I dunno. I’m sure it’s nice enough but it’s a hard ask when that costs more than the very good 2.5T engine they already have. The VW TDIs were slower than the 5cyl gassers but around town normal driving they felt pretty strong. When you got on the highway they were turds. But more than that VW paired the turbo Diesel engine with the dual clutch trans that didn’t lose boost between shifts. Without that trans it would have felt a lot slower.

I guess I would just rather get the regular 2.5 natty and enjoy a quicker car that gets similar mileage on cheaper easier to find fuel and has far fewer upkeep requirements and no cat pee tank.

Sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s kinda meh. But mostly it’s good. If you get there when a bunch of planes land they are slow to refill the lot and you could end up in a rogue or maxima or some bullshit.
