I mean, if it has a CEL and can't get inspection I'd be super pissed.

I took a look at the haldex pump and the filter didn't have much crud on it but the fluid was fairly dirty so I guess it was worth it.
at how many miles?
I had it done at 30k.

Funny enough, January is my month for inspection and emissions but I got it done at the same time as the haldex service in November to save myself a trip to the dillerman. Clearly I didn't save a trip.

Called VW again. Had to open a new case for some reason as. Reiterated that I want the car bought back or replaced. They're escalating this case so they say.

Dropping the car off Friday morning. Should have an update from VW Saturday.

It's not exactly convenient to go to the diller. If I have to take a day off might as well make it a Friday.

Hopefully I get an update from my service guy today. He's going to contact the engineer who's been handling the case.

So... what would he tell you though? You didn't bring the car in? Or perhaps the engineer has a "software update" sitch update?

:iono: VW pretty much told them there's no fix last time and that the injectors were a last ditch effort. Carbon cleaning, new injectors, and I'm assuming they checked the spark plugs, and coil packs. No idea what else it could be.

Sucks I'm outside of lemon law but why did it take 20k+ miles for something like this to develop? Especially if it really is a software issue.

Heard back from the :dillerman: . The software fix is expected sometime in May so I'm going to bring the car in for them to scan it and I guess just clear the codes. They'll send the info to VW and I should then hear back from customer care.

This :gorf: hasn't exactly been the pinnacle of reliability even when excluding this issue. It may be time to :plac:

Obviously the accident. Infotainment died. Coolant leak discovered while doing the carbon clean. New rear driver side window seal. And I know it's crazy but the blackstone analysis said the oil viscosity was thin.

There's probably more that I'm forgetting. I was trying not to be so OCD with this car but it's got a lot of bad juju.

Possibly a new :plac: :bread: once I hear back from VW

Yeah I guess. I'm still not sold on the misfires being a pure software issue though.

Hopefully VW steps up but I'm not holding my breath.

This engine is in literally millions of cars... I am sure it'll be ok. Also i thought its just a CE not an actual misfire?

I think it's a bit of both. If they knew it was strictly software I don't think they'd have gone through the effort of doing the carbon clean and injectors.

I think I did once or twice. Only on startup but it's subtle.
