I am curious to drive a featureless JL. I wonder if I would hate it ... nothing about the base bothers me ...D Griff wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 9:23 pmmax225 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 7:22 pm https://www.fremontcdjr.com/inventory/n ... g7kw645504

AC is the one must have feature though. And a cool color. Good though.
Do you need AC in the Bay? I guess it would suck for Death Valley trips without...

Stop the presses
where are they hiding batteries at?
Maybe the seats are batteries? There's not much more space to hide anything in a Jeep.

Plenty of space, they manage to hide a giant 6 gallon tank of piss for the diesel, the underside of a JL is empty.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 1:54 pmmax225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 5:24 pm https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/jeep ... -ces-2020/

you realize how large the battery bank on a smaller car is, right? even like a prius that is hybrid.

For those still shopping Jeeps. The willys is a great package.
For 5k you get.
Better wheels and tires
Leds
Power everything
A serious no frills approach to it.
33.9k MSRP on the 2 door

JKs got LEDs in 17 and 18, the higher trims got them as standard actually.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:02 pmNo JK had LEDs, my Rubi Hard Rock had the same bic lighter powered headlights as the base model.

Ah, I guess they got tired of getting ripped on and started buying the Chinese lights for the assembly line.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:06 pmJKs got LEDs in 17 and 18, the higher trims got them as standard actually.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:02 pm

Yep there were some really wacky 18 models where they literally threw the kitchen sink at the remaining JKs. You had some sports with fucktory LEDs. It was a shit show.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:17 pmAh, I guess they got tired of getting ripped on and started buying the Chinese lights for the assembly line.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:06 pm

I am pissed that Jeeps are still so damn expensive... a decent nearly stripped 2 door is 35k... pretty fucking insane.

If I decide to off my JLUR in the next 12-18 months I'm still going to do well enough.
When you buy in, you appreciate the price hikes and used Jeep price support. Best trade ever was the JK for the JL. I barely lost the tax I paid.

Yea but you got quite an epic up-front due to the Cherokee fiasco. Most aren't as "lucky".CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:22 pmI don't mind it.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:18 pm

I am trying to see the best way to "buy in" at the moment... For some reason South county is down to 35 JLs which is insane... others in the area carry nearly 100... they must have blown their entire load right before NY was over...
Hard to gauge current market pricing without that. Also there are 400 JLs for sale within 15 miles of my house... there are 0 base, 2 door willys.... life.

I'd call and try to get ahold of Adam at SC and see what he can do to move another unit. They probably were doing some very aggressive deals to get that low on inventory.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:26 pmYea but you got quite an epic up-front due to the Cherokee fiasco. Oh yeah!! Did you find something to ship them in?
I remembered about this a few weeks ago, but figured you’d started parting them out locally.

Much appreciated. Just let me know.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 11:16 amNah, holidays hit, and I know you've been going through stuff with your mom - so I just put them on the backburner for the time being.
I was able to find a box for the rear cargo mat, and I think everything else has a box. I'll check on my way out the door today.
