Blatantly ripped off from Jalop. Whatcha got planned for 2020?
https://jalopnik.com/tell-us-your-autom ... 1840747270
- Rallycross the R32 again (it's been 18 months or so) and then either keep rallycrossing it or look for another vehicle if I'm going to continue to play in the dirt
- Autocross the Miata (haven't done it yet)
- Track day on the CB (never done a Moto track day)
- Spend what it takes to have the SS50 running reliably

Maybe replace the prius tires with some actual summers, but otherwise I'm not doing/buying anything.

Possibly look for a replacement for the . It's gonna be 10 yo this year and I'm starting to feel I should off it before it really starts to nickel and dime me to death. I just have no idea what I'd like as much as a GTI.
Actually, I do; a GSW GTI, but that'll never happen.

Go a bit shorter wheelbase and get a one or two year old ? I don't hate the practicality and efficiency of the Passat, I had a loaner and it was bonkers good FE and I think they get a new interior this year.wap wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 9:05 pm Possibly look for a replacement for the . Mine needs summer tars. I do a lot of highway so something that has decent tread wear but still good in dry/wet conditions and sticky enough to bomb around in occasionally.

Almost new R is a possibility, I suppose, but the Passat is too big for me, and I really want a hatch/wagon.Tarspin wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 10:32 pmGo a bit shorter wheelbase and get a one or two year old ? I believe the Passat also gets an exterior refresh, too.

Probably replacing the FiST. Probably with a Benz. Unless I go for a + Van combo. Or a fun car that Jill can drive when I need to tow shit with her SUV.
I don’t foresee changes on the motorcycle front, but there’s always the potential for a +1. Wouldn’t mind something a bit comfortable for 2-up riding. Potentially a 10-14 Multistrada or similar years KTM SMT. oorrr an MV Agusta Turismo Veloce. And I won’t rule out something off-roadish.

my auto resolutions:
keep everything running
don't buy anything new besides parts. The want for Miata is real, but I realistically don't have time for it. or space. and the money it would consume will just make me be stuck in Louisiana longer.
keep doing mini Moto track days, be a better Rider.
ride motorcycle more. I think I did about 3k miles last year. better than most but want moar.
I might need to do the suspension on the GTI this year. nothing wrong but just might be getting tired on the damping side.

Replace our Rav4 with either a Durango or Explorer.
Try not to buy a new truck to replace the Colorado.
Maybe see about picking up a Grom or Spyder to ride on the days I don't take the kid to Daycare.

why set unobtainable goals to just yourself

I don't have any real personal plans.
We might go to Houston to drive some Teslas and see if the wife likes the Mod 3. We are leaning towards that purchase. I love my but I want something with serious power.
Goals: Track grom more. I'm done modding it.
Racecar? fix it and sell it?
