That would be my choice... she really like teal everything but normally wants boring car "colors"... so we'll see.

I prefer the Renegade over the Compass. Same shit underneath in both, but I like the boxier look and prefer cars that look a little bit ridiculous. The Compass is very vanilla.

Here we go. $22,300 for a brand new one! That sounds pretty good until you start reading. You have to be a military realtor FCA employee with a returning FCA lease and a credit score below 620 to get that price.

I don't live in Cali and my score is above 620 so I don't apply for $5k in rebates. So it's not $22k, it's $27k. 22.9 is the STARTING PRICE from the dealer.
The other 5k in rebates are conditional (which ones apply from there on out is why I gave a range, bonus cash would, chrysler capital would if you were to finance etc). I have bought from that before as has and 2 other people. So at this point what exactly is "fake".

I am just providing a data point. Getting a used car that is normally funneled to people who can't float a 700 credit score is not necessarily the answer here, when it doesn't cost that much extra new.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 4:52 pmAh. Don't get what? I'm just making the comparison to Detroit's wife "needing" a heated steering wheel. Mine wants a backup cam, heated seats, sunroof if she is to get/pay for a new vehicle. These features are very easy to find. I think she'd really like car play as she loves tech, has an Apple watch, etc. Me personally, IDGAF about tech in my cars, clearly.

"tech" comment. I don't understand wanting "tech" in a car, i was mirroring your comments. That said... a Model 3 is "tech" personified... but it's not exactly the answer either.D Griff wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 4:55 pmDon't get what? Yea it essentially makes on board navigation completely redundant 99.9% of the time, until you're out of reception... which does happen occasionally in places like Death valley etc. It made the CP completely pointless.

Apple maps lets you cache stuff offline. It'll give full directions just won't do traffic updates. I cached maps for Slovenia and Croatia. When I got to those countries I turned my phone to airplane mode, plugged it into the VW Polo, and carplay gave me excellent turn-by-turn directions with no cell signal.
This makes onboard nav with outdated maps completely pointless as it's the exact same idea but better and more up to date mapping.
You can do that with Google on your phone tooJohnny_P wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 5:11 pmApple maps lets you cache stuff offline. It'll give full directions just won't do traffic updates. interesting, that's a relatively new feature. I remember seeing something about it...Johnny_P wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 5:11 pmApple maps lets you cache stuff offline.
