I’m going to double down on this one. The whole depiction of the story is nonexistent without the cars, and they’re each their own character. And then when you actually look at the cars in some detail, there’s as much thought, passion and soul in each car as there was put into the cast.
MMFR is a god damned cinematic masterpiece up there with the best. I got a chance to see it in The “black and chrome” rerelease, Miller wanted it to be released in black and white. It was stunning.
Like I said, I totally get where you're coming from... the "cars" are sort of odd though, they are just random post apocalyptic machines, its hard to relate.
Exhaust setup is golf R approved.
The creativity in the vehicles is epic, and I appreciate that. I don't believe the cars have to be production cars for a movie to be an interesting car movie.
Most of the move takes place in/around cars...if that's not a car movie, what is.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

The first movie I thought of was THE most UNintentionally hilarious car movie ever made, a piece of called Hot Rods to Hell. Watch the trailer and try not to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JGcg-nIxsM
My more serious choices would be Road Warrior, Ronin, Italian Job, the first Transporter movie, Rush, and maybe Tucker.
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World is kind of a car movie so maybe that one, too, along with The Great Race.
When I was a kid I used to love Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the first Herbie the Love Bug
Where are these mangos?
