Yeah.
I'm thinking about buying my mom a new Carolla. She has an '09 S and loves the size, but it has mechanical issues. She's mentioned she likes the new Carolla... They are pretty cheap too.
Looks like I can get her an LE for $17k or an SE for $20.5k

Her '09 was a lemon from the get go and she and her husband did nothing about it. First two months it needed complete new brakes... rotors, calipers and pads. Needed a head gasket in the first year and had 2 starters go out in the first 3 years. Since then it's been a constant this or that thing that I need to replace because it's always $800-$1200 at the dealer for something that's $200 in parts.

I've never heard of a Toyota requiring so much work.

Me either. Completely blew my mind and my mom's husband was too proud to let me work with the dealership to get it replaced.Detroit wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 1:43 pmCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 1:41 pm

The Dodge Power Wagon is a Screaming F-15 Strike Eagle of Muricaness compared to any new vehicle I can think of including the the Jeep Lineup. Do you even Hemi?Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:05 pmwith your Jeep hate speech. Why do you hate murica?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 3:18 pm

Doesn’t depreciate and you can put 63 octane fuel in it and it’s going to run forever. Spend $40k on a trd variant and in 3 years it’s worth 30. In 5 it’s worth 28.

Thanks.
The one I wanted is at my old sister store but has a cracked bumper and is in the body shop. Trying to score a similar one from a dealer the other side of Philly... so if all goes to plan it looks like it’s Tuesday.
