Her sister live's near my house but in the same hood as . She mixed up which hood was her sisters with one that is approx 50-100% more expensive in house options.
Me: "oh so they dont live in that one?"
her: no they are the next one down.
Me: "oh so they live in the one for the poors?"
her: SUPER
i couldnt recover from her being so angry for jokingly saying her sister living in a $250k house instead of a $500k was "poor".
My city is divided down the middle by a major road. For some reason, one side is big houses on big lots, the other is small houses jammed together on small lots. City is called "Pleasant Ridge", but most refer to the smaller side as "Peasant Ridge".
We met some people that just bought a house on that side, and I told the woman "Welcome to Peasant Ridge"
She responded: "why does everyone keep calling it that?! We're not peasants!"
My wife: "But to us you are..."

Oh, same here! The "poor side" of our city is nicer than any of the surrounding areas. Most people know it's a joke.
