Makes perfect sense, not useless overlapping standards set by various states.(Bloomberg) -- General Motors Co., Toyota Motor Corp. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV plan to back President Donald Trump in a contentious battle with California officials over automobile emissions rules, splitting with major rivals including Ford Motor Co.
GM, Toyota and several other automakers plan to intervene on the administration’s behalf in a lawsuit filed by environmental groups challenging the U.S. Department of Transportation’s rule stripping California of its ability to regulate tailpipe greenhouse gas emissions.
“With our industry facing the possibility of multiple overlapping and inconsistent standards that drive up costs and penalize consumers, we had an obligation to intervene,” said Bozzella, who is also chief executive officer of the Association of Global Automakers, an industry trade group. “The decision to intervene in the lawsuit is about how the standard should be applied, not what the standard should be.”
It was Renault before. PSA is a new one. Who knows what's real anymore, but I think this would be amax225 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 6:14 pm https://www.yahoo.com/news/3-fiat-chrys ... 31337.html
PSA and FCA merging again ?
I saw that last night, unfortunately DE taxes leases differently than other states which add essentially an extra $100/mo to that number from what I've been told. I've been trying to snag an Ioniq EV but haven't had a dealer actually respond do an inquiry.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 9:01 pm i3 with REX for $124/mo

They are barely moving that said this claims you get a 50k msrp car for 34 and change hence the low monthly.
Traverse is the new minivan, only worse than a minivan in nearly every way. GM infotainment sucks, and all they care about is cost cutting as you noted.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 10:25 am So yesterday we had some folks from out of town and we went to adinner for work.... my co worker apparently bought a Chevy Traverse. It was interesting....
it comfortably fit 6 full grown adults, I guess it was some kind of odd 2-2-2 seating arrangement. Fully loaded, with leather dual moon roofs etc.
so it was quiet, his average over 450 miles is 21.5mpg, and it was enormous of a vehicle.
I suppose I sort of get it when you have crotchfruit and dogs and are trying to carry that whole unfortunate litter with you on a road trip. But other than that![]()
Start stop was intrusive to me and I fucking hate these systems, he nailed it on an on ramp and it was a whole lotta nothin. Gm cost cutting everywhere, shit rear view and 360 camera which was essentially so low res it was useless... Car play looked low res from the 2nd row, for a thing that’s 50k as equipped it’s was disappointing. I don’t understand anyone who’d get that as is...
Well I suppose I just don’t understand spending that kind of money on something this boring, style less and with that many corners cut. It perplexed me.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 10:31 amTraverse is the new minivan, only worse than a minivan in nearly every way. The new i3 goes like 140-180 miles I think... and with the gas motor it would be over 200.D Griff wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 10:30 am The i3 is apretty cool car, IMO. I like it a lot more than a Model 3 as it looks cool/quirky, I prefer the interior, has actual/non

When you reproduce I guess you'll understand? I don't get it either. Fortunately, I never will.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 10:36 amWell I suppose I just don’t understand spending that kind of money on something this boring, style less and with that many corners cut. It perplexed me.
Also Jeep really needs to get in on a 7 seater. I’m sure there is one in the works ... just use the gladiator chassis and add another row back there.

Shut up and take my money.
I agree... it's weird to blow $40-50K on amax225 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 10:36 amWell I suppose I just don’t understand spending that kind of money on something this boring, style less and with that many corners cut. It perplexed me.

Yeah the Durango also is at least attractive. So many of these vehicles are just hideous, they put no effort into design it seems. My dad has a Durango and it is a very nice vehicle, way more refined than my BMW (granted it was like 80% more expensive at the same mileage).Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 10:39 amWhen you reproduce I guess you'll understand? Things are expensive now daysThat's the way of the world. Bigger = more expensive even if it sucks.
I'd get a Durango SRT. At least it's still somewhat "fun" as it makesnoises.
This would be great in Texas, 12 mpg ?
