I guess I just don't care to speed anymore then? I set cruise between 75 an 80 and the Gladiator seems pretty happy. I just
Wife's JL is easier to speed in The Sahara really motors.
Wind noise was like non existent below 55, and REALLY picked up over 80. I guess I am getting old, but ever since my TDI days I rarely go above 80/85 because I usually can't ... due to traffic, or its simply not worth the risk. It also becomes more expensive to operate the vehicle at those speeds, and requires more fill ups the speed increase is offset by poors at the gas stations. FK that.
Speaking of... $4.29 a gallon last night... filled up another 11.5 gallons in a 11.6 gallon tank... car said 20 miles to empty.

Man...I would NOT trust the range in your vehicle.

I think its literally 0 means 0. Out of 20+ vehicles I have driven with digital range gauges, this is a first. 0 usually meant 30+

Yea...I've never had a vehicle that goes to zero that I know of...most of mine in recent memory go down to ~20-30 then LOW
The only time I've ever run out of gas was in my ZR2. Was coming home from a wheeling trip, range said 30 when I was 5 miles away from my favorite Costco to fuel up at. Figured I'd make it no problem. Slowed down to 65 to maximize range just in case.
Range went to LOW after a mile then 3 miles later...3/4 of a mile from the highway exit the truck died.
So LOW in the ZR2 meant EMPTY. I never temped that fate again.
I ran the Gladiator down to "LOW" which turned on below 20 miles. I was in the middle of nowhere and the nearest gas station was 10 miles. So I just cruised along at 50 on backroads for 10 miles and it got me there. But I was really paranoid after the ZR2 incident.

I have actually never run out of gas in my life, but this is making me a bit more anxious. I also have a disdain for gas stations. There are 2 walking distance from my house, but they are 30-50 cents more than Costco. @15k miles a year and $5 a gallon this is substantial

Running out of gas is the worst thing ever. I legit thought I was going to die walking 3/4 of a mile, then some old dude pulled over and offered to give me a ride. I took it figuring I'll either die walking along the highway when a doing 85 plows me over while texting a selfie, or he'll shoot me.
Turned out he was a new grandpa who "didn't want to witness a bloodbath when I was roadkill on the grille of a semi"...and he was even more concerned when I told him my wife and dog were in the truck and it was 95 degrees outside.
Trust me...it's better to risk being stabbed at a gas station than walking along the highway.

I hate that shit. Don't tell me LOW when I'm looking at the range. I know it is low. Give me a fucking number so I can keep track.
