The wife's mazda has the stupid center channel and super harsh highs. There is no way to make it sound decent with EQ. It's either painfully bright or so muddy you might as well be under water. Even podcasts have to be turned up to 11 to hear the words clearly, making it painful after 10 minutes.

First round of coding complete, I think I got just about everything I want done.
Comfort open/close windows.
Remove all "you can't do this while vehicle is moving" nags
Comfort turn signals set to 4 blinks
turned off the soundaktor.
I will likely make the edits to turn on the street sign detection and the lane assist to keep you centered in the lane and not just keep you from exiting the lane. I don't know how much I will use the lane keep though, TBH... It's kind of weird when I had it enabled and would need to be something you get used to. Might be cool for long freeway trips.

Same question. My ECS package is coming on Tuesday and I wish I would have known if this is a "must have".

Gimmick.
They all talk about "surround sound" and what not, but just like in your house, if you run a 3.1 config for stereo music it sounds weird because the center is just L+R so you get no separation. It is especially worse in a car because you're so close to the speakers.

Cool. Yeah, I should have included it in my kit for the shifter, but I ended up ordering it stand-alone. Will be here on Wed.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 10:39 ambest 50 bucks I've spent, it makes a difference.

So will my dyson air purifier, thankfully the particulate p100 masks are coming today. I’m a fool for not being ready. Dude this state is apocalypse now. Pausing that idea for the moment ... 3rd year of fires in a row... I have lived here for 19 years and it’s never been like that... all the homes I was considering are shut off from power now.... I mean i was going to get a power wall either way... but still... this is degeneration right now. No power and no water when you need it most ! What is this ? 1850?Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:14 amRemind me why it's a great idea to spend nearly $2M on a house there?max225 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:12 am

I don't remember the last natural disaster that happened in Michigan. Maybe a tornado in farmland last summer? No earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, mudslides, etc.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:17 amPausing that idea for the moment ... 3rd year of fires in a row... Not that MI is the answer, most of this state blows, but there's plenty of the country that doesn't experience much in the way of natural disasters. To me, you want a place to settle and put money into that has low risk of natural disasters. CA is the opposite...guaranteed to have at least one natural disaster per year. Fire, earthquake, something.
Just wait until "the big one" hits. That's not an "if" but a "when".

I feel like anywhere from the Adirondacks NY to Eastern Michigan and down to maybe Huntsville or Knoxville is pretty damn safe.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:23 amI don't remember the last natural disaster that happened in Michigan. Earth quakes don’t worry me. Even at its worst it’s no where near as bad as not being able to breathe or see. These fires are terrifying.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:23 amI don't remember the last natural disaster that happened in Michigan. Maybe a tornado in farmland last summer? Shit, you could probably go as far west as Colorado. The entire states of MI, WI, MN are pretty danged boring in this regard. Even most of IL down to TN as you mentioned is pretty safe I think.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:27 amI feel like anywhere from the Adirondacks NY to Eastern Michigan and down to maybe Huntsville or Knoxville is pretty damn safe.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:23 am

This is weird... didn't realize this was a feature offered in cars, why would you want surround sound in a car? Music is stereo and podcasts/books are mono, is the point? Movies in the car?CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 1:34 pmGimmick.

Glad to hear the is kicking ass for your needs! Nice looking car for sure.
