I like the rear fascia partially black. I was going to plastidip mine, but never got around to it.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 8:36 am I really only wanted it a bit lower to grab some pictures then put it back to about where it is now
I think I'll order the C6 splash guards for next year, and I'm also going to wrap the bottom of the rear in satin black like that trim piece from years ago that isn't made anymore.

Yep just the lower section. I wouldn't mind the actual plastic trim piece but if I find one *uck paying whatever someone would want for itDetroit wrote:I like the rear fascia partially black. I believe you and I both have the same suspension setup, C6 ZR1 shocks/sways. That shouldn't impact ride height
Cale, I think your car looks about perfect FWIW.

Thanks mang. Tbh I think I'd have a problem upgrading to a C6 because I'd miss seeing this green. I should just nut up and get a good paint correction to see if it'll help my paint match issues or just save for a full respray.

I've got C6Z06 shocks and troy's old C5Z06 sways. But agreed, that won't impact the ride height.

I used to want a C6 more but as time goes on I kinda like the C5 looks more. Both are cool but the 90s look really resonates with me as I grew up then. I love pop ups.

I plastidipped mine when I got the car and I like it. It was cheap and quick. Still holding up. if it got ratty I'd likely just clean it up and put some black vinyl there as long as I could cut some clean lines. Ideally I'd love to 3M tape a nice piece back there but I'm too cheap to spend money on it.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 9:12 amYep just the lower section. I can't even find anywhere to buy that trim piece anymore so I'll have my buddy use some satin black vinyl to try it. I'd be afraid of dip looking shitty since I don't wash my car.Acid666 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 11:40 amI plastidipped mine when I got the car and I like it. It was cheap and quick. It'll hold up. I barely wash mine either, I just rinse and wipe it down after events. I've got pieces of my truck dipped and it's only just now starting to wear (after about 4 years). The back of the vette is in good shape since it's in the back and doesn't take as much of a beating as the grill and side skirts.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 12:00 pmI can't even find anywhere to buy that trim piece anymore so I'll have my buddy use some satin black vinyl to try it. Just get yourself a clean mask line, do 2X light coats and go SUPER light along your mask line, then do a third coat that's REALLY heavy and pull the mask asap.

Oddly, IDGAF. I thought I would.
I followed a dude in a C5 for a while on the drive into work this morning. Got a tiny bit nostalgic, but that's about it. Had an exhaust that sounded great, miss that and nothing else really.
