I love the smell of emissions in the morning.Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 3:43 pmSpoken like a true industry guy.4zilch wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 1:27 pm
FWIW, manufacturers build to the CARB standard (with the exception of some small engine manufacturers). 49 state vehicles/engines aren't really a thing anymore.
The annoying thing about CARB is they have their own rules for enforcement - so if I have an emissions defect, the threshold to require a mandatory recall is lower, the acceptable completion rate is different, how recall completion is reported and proven is different, etc.
This article sums up things nicely https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/news/4 ... otorcycle/
IMO, what makes the most sense is a global standard developed and agreed upon by the developed countries.

that's just a negotiating point I wouldn't give a fuuuuuuuuuh about that. Then again, my car has a line on the front bumper where it got backed into, a gouge out of the rear bumper from a bicycle that ran into it, worn paint on the trunk down to bare metal from an ill fitting license plate frame, and egg damage on the roof.dubshow wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:24 amdude... Yeah! Or that bright blue is nice too.
I love the chally. Even an RT with a bro exhaust and 8AT would be 100% enough for me.
Bike rack doe. Doggie doe. Kids doe (if I’m lucky).

It's probably the only coupe that kids will fit well in, but the other stuff...yea.
I'm pretty much over sports cars. I love the Challenger, but now all I see is cost (insurance mostly), and frustration with never being able to enjoy the power and the pain over garbage roads and/or construction. Completely over it all.
I love lyfe.

Chally should soak it up ok though, no? The 300 seemed fine over bad roads, same chassis.Detroit wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:41 amIt's probably the only coupe that kids will fit well in, but the other stuff...yea.

The wheels are massive...and I think need to be to look good. I'm sure it's fine over bad roads except for the high risk of destroying tires/wheels. The same risk would apply to the 300.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:54 amChally should soak it up ok though, no? My dad's 300 is on the factory 20's and while they look great the ride isn't.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:54 amChally should soak it up ok though, no? The 300 seemed fine over bad roads, same chassis.Detroit wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:41 am

it seems totally fine to me and the 20s on that car have significantly larger sidewalls than any other 20s on cars short of rolls Royce’s. They are completely fine for shit roads

Idk it's very rough over the frost heaves and washboard roads here. Not really much better than my brub. I'm sure the AWD models with 19s are better.
