She’s been fairly good so far. 26 dose of pitocin and then she got the epidural. She’s relaxed as fuck now. Her mom will be here in approx 4.5 hours and join us. Hoping baby stays in until then.

It will. Induction usually takes at least 12 hours, and sometimes goes 36. Alot of them end in emergency c section too. My wife decided to cut to the chase and get a section, a decision I 100% supported.

Hello all! Baby was officially born at 7:42 PM last night. Mama had some complications in the form of a postpartum hemorrhage. Not fun. She lost approx 1L of blood throughout the process.
Kudos to modern medicine and the OB and others for literally turning into Navy SEAL Team 6 to make sure mom was taken care of. Baby is fine, mom is being stabilized as we speak.
Her parents flew in yesterday morning and her mom is spending the night with her and baby while her dad and I are at the apartment (2.5 miles away) getting some sleep.
It was pretty surreal to see it happening. Amazing and scary all in one, especially when you factor that I was even helping the staff out by just keeping mom calm throughout the process. She was given a balloon treatment that is clotting the bleeding while also being given IV and uterus contracting medicine to induce her contractions. I think that her being on pitocin for over 24 hours (not continual, but she had 2 of the maximum doses) definitely did not help the circumstances out.
Anyways, back to baby. She is a 7 lb on the dot baby girl. Ten fingers, ten toes, and she is the most adorable thing I’ve laid my eyes on.
Please keep us in your tots and pears for the next few days. Love y’all.

So, I think I mentioned I've had a few nights of insomnia recently. Zero minutes of sleep over two nights in a row last week and had the same experience on Wednesday night/Thursday morning this week. Went to the doc yesterday and he gave me a couple meds and asked if I wanted to sample some ambien.
Uh.. Well, this stuff is strong.
Took it at ~9pm and went to sleep. work up slightly about 2 hours later and wanted to move a couple things around while I prepped a rest station in the house. Here it is now 3:10AM and it's still kicking. As I type this my head keeps nodding forward and my hands are pressing random keys.
Def. will only use these when required. They claim they work for 6-8 hours but never leave the house until after 8 hours. Pretty sure this is spot on.
Hope that makes sense, the pill is still hitting me in waves.

What's the best piece of advice you've received so far about being a parent?

We have two matching dark brown 8-drawer Hemnes dressers upstairs here - they're great.
Matched my gedlaidbeds frame perfectly.

As the only published author in a well-known motorcycle publication in the room...
The Forester is cool and all but I need a fun car. Theodore is fun but I don’t see myself driving it that much while I have the Forester, and honestly I want something more fun.
I don’t NEED 2 cars but I have the garage space and I can easily afford it so why not?
