I would prefer that... maybe i'll go 35/50 then. I don't want to tint the fronts more than 50%. That results in tickets out here.

Just take it down to the Miguel's Muffler Shop and have him weld on a straight pipe. Turbos are enough of a muffler. He'd probably do it for $50 cash.

That's essentially what the "fancy" 2k systems are. its a Y pipe with a Valve, one goes through muffler the other is blocked off by it, then due to "magic" it turns loud.... Yea bruh... you just straight piped yo car.

I think similar, but there are so many differences between the cars. Hatch vs sedan, length of pipe :giggidy: etc. I would be quite surprised to see them sound the same.
Also I am pretty sure Mini engine/trans tuning is completely different. In sport mode it dumps fuel into the engine to make it backfire a 328/330i is also rated 10-15% better in MPG than my clown car.

Something like that. But frankly I have no idea what it would sound like on the JCW. The regular pooper should be a good reference point but most people with a JCW go and spend 2k on the "exhaust"
This dude is a turd doe... style ranting
I have the S-Type, it does pop like the dude bros and sound kinda similar but a little bit more farty/less raspy on my car. It really sounds terribad on cold start in the garage, but then pretty once you're driving it around.

The JCW Pro you can close the valve though right? If she doesn't like the valves open then closed might be good enough.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 6:29 pmYea... she may not. She likes the really subtle ones that are currently on car, but JCW PRO exhaust seems

Yea I am not 100% I even like the crazy pops, they just sound a bit too immature, and like the car is broken. I want something that is close to that, but I understand the limitation of having a baby dick motor with a snail. It'll just sound like shit no matter what.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 6:35 pmThe JCW Pro you can close the valve though right? Gotcha. I wonder if a simple resonator delete would be all you need?max225 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 6:38 pmYea I am not 100% I even like the crazy pops, they just sound a bit too immature, and like the car is broken. Yep, the only mass produced turbo 4 I can think of that actually sounds good is the Abarf five hunnit... not sure how they did it.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 6:38 pmYea I am not 100% I even like the crazy pops, they just sound a bit too immature, and like the car is broken. Appears to come with a new cat...which is probably a big driver of price since it's an OEM unit.
I'd either go with a Miguel's special straight pipe, or on the OEM accy. The valve would be super nice IMO, especially if you care about your neighbors at all.
