Thanks.

I'm going to wear the shit out of it.

I could clean it and store it away and sell it in ~5 years for a lot more, but I want to enjoy it, and used ones still appreciate quite nicely. At the worst they seem to hold their value when they get "character marks".
im always :amaze: at the used rolex market and their likely ability to maintain value. Its a game I just cant understand, while you can walk into several shops and buy a new one.
A new stainless sport or professional rolex (GMT Master II, Sub, Daytona, etc) will be just about impossible to buy by walking into a store. Most are 2-5 year waits. That's what happen when you have them MSRP at $8,500-$12,400... everyone that has a little money wants one. Now, if you want a precious metal version of these, you stand a better chance of getting one. I've seen TWO gold Rolexes in these models in the last year in store, but they run $20k new. A platinum Daytona is about $70k new and you can order that any day and have it in ~2 months.

Simply put, I was told by no less than 5 authorized dealers that if I wanted a new stainless GMT, Sub or Daytona I would need to spend about $120k in the store to be put on the list to wait the 2-5 years.

Agreed. The Jubilee doesn't really interest me.

I'd be paranoid. I barely wear my $1k Shinola.

interesting biz model. :notbad:

$11,800. A bit out of my league. I bought a good fake in italy in 2007. Gave to my dad and it sits in a box.

That one seems to be priced kind of fair-ish. It's a bit older and no warranty, but looks like it might be clean. That model doesn't demand higher prices (new MSRP they are $11,300) in the secondary market though, and they are bigger at 43 and 44mm.

It's getting firm and dark. :dedong:

Should be ready to slice in just about 2 weeks. Tried out the chamber vac sealer the other day on some Prime NY steaks, I sealed them with some butter and seasonings, then cooked them sous vide and finished them on the grill for some char. That sealer is so much better than the standard units that it is almost worth it's price.

Picked up a set of gently used ping g400 irons. $400 for 5-uw. Also got an older TM burner 2.0 9.5 loft driver for $60.

The ole lynx parallax from the 90s just ain't cutting it and they needed to be re gripped anyway. Image

New tars inbound for Thursday with a Friday install date at the :dillerman:

Image

Woman at the service desk for the :dillerman: tried to insist that I pay the $200 for mount and balance and $380 for a 4 wheel alignment and up to $1k for "camera adjustment" if I had lane keep...

Told her that the car has 2200 miles on it and she shut up quick, then asked why I wanted new tires and I told her the PZeros that came on the car were pure shit. She agreed and said she has the ps4s tires on her targa.

Going to just let them do the tire change and balance so I don't have to deal with the center locks this time.

Does your 911 have 4 wheel steering? If not, what in the fuck are the going to do to "align" the back wheels.
