Got it, sounds like a PITA to do after the fact.

I don’t believe that ... they have an extra $500 For 2018s as is .... I haven’t see the official flyers yet... all the advertised s end 7/1 at my local rape palaceDetroit wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:11 pmhttps://www.orchardchryslerdodgejeep.co ... I took a look around to see if there was anything I'd want for schitzengiggel but every one is missing something critical.
That's the closest I've found to perfection, but it's missing the trailer tow/aux switch pack. At $795...it's basically the price of parts. I'd actually use the switches, so I'd install both trailering and switches on a vehicle that didn't have it. That's a day's worth of work plus ~$800 in parts. For a $2,250 discount. So really $1,500 off plus all my effort to install that shit for a 2 year old vehicle. That's rather meh. Vehicles that include trailer tow have shit I don't want, which basically comes for free after the small discount, but if I don't want it, then why "pay" for it?
told me that he'd let me know if there's any further discounts, but it's looking like the 4th of July salesathon is skipping the Wrangler. Shocking because there's a real chance of 18, 19, and 20 vehicles on the same lot soon.

Kind of...it's a Mopar kit so at least it's documented. I'd add it to a vehicle for the right price. Another $1k off that orange one or low interest rate financing, and I'll get serious.
Though, if I was ordering one, I'd probably go Rubicon with tow/switches, remote proximity entry, LEDs, cold weather, premium soft top, and done. Employee price would be $43k and BRAND NEW.
Also probably in Bikini. I love that color with Rubicon red accents.

That's a solid build, and Bikini is a sweet color.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:31 pmKind of...it's a Mopar kit so at least it's documented. I'd add it to a vehicle for the right price. Another $1k off that orange one or low interest rate financing, and I'll get serious.

And good to know the switches are a Mopar kit, so it is documented and do-able, but still a PITA when they could come from the factory.

The 2,250 off includes the $500 from Jeep. There's "4th of July" Salesathon branding all over the dealer sites now. They end on 7/1...but that's also the end of the quarter. I'm not sure there will be a bit push for 4th of July at the very beginning of quarter.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:26 pmI don’t believe that ... they have an extra $500 For 2018s as is .... Yea, the Mopar kit is nearly the same price as the factory installed option, so it's way easier to have them installed at the factory. Same with the LED lights. Just the headlights from Mopar are $900, and for $995 you can get ALL lights LED from the factory. Just gotta get a Rubicon to do that.Apex wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:32 pmThat's a solid build, and Bikini is a sweet color.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:31 pm

Nah, I'd swap to Rubicon axles eventually. Limiting down to LSD would take away pretty much everything.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:45 pmNo LSD, doe?Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:11 pm

The brake based LSD is just fine, jeeps are super capable even at the lowest levels. I don't see the big deal.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:45 pmNo LSD, doe?Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:11 pm

35s fit on a Rubicon with zero modifications. It's the only thing I would do to a Rubicon. I have no interest in lifts.

JLUR was designed to take 35s stock. Pretty amazing.
If I did a Sport, that's when things get for 35s. Rubicon flares would get you most of the way, but would still need a lift if you weren't doing axles. Rubicon axles are wider...not to mention the 4.10s and lockers. A Rubicon without many options is the way to go IMO.

Right my whole comment was around the sport not the rubi. I'd think a rubi left stock would do incredibly well as well.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 6:59 pmJLUR was designed to take 35s stock. Pretty amazing.

It really benefits from 35s...that extra inch or so of ground clearance makes a surprising difference...they can do things modified JKs barely can.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 7:03 pmRight my whole comment was around the sport not the rubi. So @detroit you may have a point, fca looks like it’s trying to make a move happen... 15k on the hood of ram 1500s so it must be the sales lever that was determined for the 4th, the others will be used to offset the drop in asps on the :trukvaganza:

I know...the pot of incentive money is only so big. Looks like they're pushing and other volume SUVs like the GC. Both are highly profitable, so it makes sense.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 10:42 pm So @detroit you may have a point, fca looks like it’s trying to make a move happen... 15k on the hood of ram 1500s so it must be the sales lever that was determined for the 4th, the others will be used to offset the drop in asps on the :trukvaganza:

Just weird kicking the can of the 18/19/20 problem for JLs. The more I think about it, the less I want a leftover 18 because of all the compromises on features. "Deals" will need to come down another $2-3k for me to be interested...I could just go order a 2020 model exactly as I want, pay nearly the same, and have timing work out better for replacing the ZR2.

Yea...it's just a matter of finding time to get her to the dealer.
She has zero interest in testing things out, but will then complain about anything we end up with because she "didn't pick it".
Hence my dread with all this.
