Not sure. I don't ride motorcycles but the speed limit is 40 so I imagine both went paying attention, or one wasn't and the other was going too fast to react. Kids on bikes usually do 60+ on my street. Not saying he was but it's likely

Motorcycles are HARD to see when backing up...especially if they're travelling above 40 mph (which he probably was). IMO, it's on the rider to pay close attention and adjust speed appropriately.

I agree. It happened about 1000ft from a 4 way stop so I'm willing to bet the rider have it some sauce and couldn't avoid the truck

40mph in a neighborhood is fast. I thought residential limits were 25. Or is that a Cali thing?
Edited to fix 4 to 40. Whoops

Middle of nowhere folks can have residences on 55 mph roads. Dense residential is 25 in most placesSAWCE wrote:4mph in a neighborhood is fast. I thought residential limits were 25. Or is that a Cali thing?

Beats me. I was laid off today doe.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:23 pmYeah that's a "we have enough money but don't want to fight the lawsuits" move. If you have a job today, I suspect you'll have one tomorrow.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 3:02 pm
They're claiming they are broke. I think the banks have no interest in forking out another $100MM to fix the shit. Half the refinery was laid off today. They're also claiming this is an extreme circumstance so they don't have to give 60 days notice of a mass layoff. So there is no severance pay.
Meanwhile they will position the place for "sale and restart by a different company." So what's the real deal here? Do they have some money or nah? Union is going to fight the fuck outta that.

Don't worry, China or Mexico will pay for new jobs.
