Aren't the "recaros" in the WRX basically just a slightly different seatback? The bottom part of the seat is the same?

Wrx seats are softer and have less thigh support. But both are excellent, far more comfortable than my seats.
The “ recacos” are almost no different from the “normal”
Seats.

I really enjoyed the reviews as well! Thank you Max!
Great write ups, I'm following the thread closely and compare each car review to my own experience with the
Here is my take away:
Sound makes a big difference to the driving experience. I think VW messed up with their stock exhaust system which is tuned for the Audi S3 crowd who in my opinion are and don't like noises. The car needs an exhaust and res delete to be anything but muted, or a DP and tune which doesn't belong in this thread, period.
I also think that the VW R pairs the best with a DSG and is as fast as the RS when equipped that way. Unfortunately this option is boring vs a good shifting product like the competition offers, so that takes the car out of the running by default. Even as a very satisfied owner, I would not buy it with three pedals. It is DSG or bust unless you want a refined and highly groomed product like an Audi with a to grasp firmly six times to 75 mpg.
I love the look of the RS and somehow this thread convinced me that the WRX/STI are pretty good looking and punch above their weight class, but I would buy wasteful's for trade in plus taxes mainly because it is practically a new fucken car short of some dried on bird shit, and ignoring how much action the suspensions sees on any given drive to work.

Yeah those seats are dog shit. I’ve ridden/sat in them and the bolsters were inches away from me on either side and I’m 190, not a small person at all. I drove a WRX and don’t remember the seats so I’m sure they were decent?Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 9:42 pmAren't the "recaros" in the WRX basically just a slightly different seatback? Seat wise IMO having driven all back to back:
FiST Recaros > 328i M Sport > GTI = Civic Si > WRX >> STI Recaros = BMW 328i poverty seats.
From having driven similar but not the same cars during my search, I think Max’s review is spot on. In this category the Fords/Honda’s are high up if you value the drive most, Subies are close (STI likely equal) but add in some more daily perks, VWs are best if you value luxury but still want some fun in the mix. They all fit a niche nicely, we live in an era with some great stuff available affordably.

I mean if someone is serious about my car just PM me and we can get talking. I'll go get it detailed and I'm positive it'll all come out.
It does have bicycle impact damage on the rear bumper. I got hit by a bicycle, seriously. Fledonfoot has a bumper guy that can apparently spot repair it, but it is scuffed on the rear bumper corner pretty badly right now.
Its due for an oil change so I'll take care of that too and get Subaru's opinion on upcoming maintenance needs but it should be zero since it only has 12k miles.
