Since I'm not camping at the IMSA or NASCAR races this year I'm considering getting a campsite for the Vintage Grand Prix weekend Sept 4-8. It's a pretty far drive for everyone except :mahtroy: but maybe it's worth the drive. (I've never been to this event)

I think a buddy of mine will have his 962 and RS Spyder there. I really need to make it back up to the Glen.

I've been to vintage races at NJMP. Its usually a good time. These people drive the balls off these cars.

The in-car video I have seen of these million plus dollar cars is insane. They really drive the hell out of these cars.

I love it because most of these cars have scars all over, are on their 3rd or 4th engine, patch jobs galore. They're race cars through and through. And commonly see wheels locking up, 4 wheel slides, etc on cars with basically no safety systems to save your ass :impressive:

They are driven with what seem like ZFG attitudes and it's amazing. These are no parade laps.

I booked a site in section E. That's my favorite to camp in since it's a short walk to both sides of the track.
