Can we get a headless pic of the scar? For science?
Here it is about a day before those drain tube sutures came out yesterday.

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.
Dang. So Kai’s neurology appointment a few weeks back didn’t yield any results. The epilepsy meds the vet gave us seemed to make his episodes happen more often so we stopped giving them to him. He finally had his cardiology appointment this morning and he needs a pacemaker ASAP. Scheduling the surgery for Monday. Cardiologist was surprised he’s made it this far.

I'll Play....
About a week after surgery
Today
Wow.
What's kind of cool though, is it looks like that scar will be barely noticeable when you're looking at you face on because if sort of follows your neck line.
Where are these mangos?

Yeah, they did that on purpose. The swelling and fluid retention is far beyond what I expected. But I am learning these massages to direct the fluid down towards my chest and armpit area where there are healthy lymph nodes to evacuate it. They took 60 out of my neck and all tested cancer free. but their absense is sorely felt.

Cool that your remaining nodes will compensate for the ones they removed, and that they all tested cancer free!
How long did you have that drain tube in?

It looks to be healing quite nicely, actually.
That's what all the nurses who've seen it are saying. No redness, leakage, infection, etc. I guess the lumpiness will smooth out in about 2 months and I'll be left with just a thin vertical white line and 2 small horizontal white lines from the drain tubes. , I guess.

Today has been a good day. Beautiful 80 degrees out, took the fam out to watch some eventing, and then hot dogs and root beer for lunch.
Munchkin and ridgeback are passed out.

Yeah, I am truly blessed. We both are.
I had the drains in for 8 days. They hurt like a mutha fucker coming out......I thought they were like an inch or two long...but they were both like 4-5 inches long.
