Trans roof is 5/7. Way better than any regular sunroof. I don't really even want to take the roof off, just to have it be clear. Dat fighter jet visibility. Such airy feeling. Fuck camaros.
Yeah that's definitely high on my list of favorite features with the car, probably second only to brubs.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 5:05 pm Trans roof is 5/7. I am starting to like the C5 looks more than C6. I think C6 is starting to look old and the C5 is aging a bit better. I'd still rock a C6 though.
Now that I raised the suspension I've been grabbing the C5 more and more to just drive to work.

I like the widebody look a fair piece better than the standard, and don't care about paying for the tires, but that's because I'm a Hooters meat up guy, not Auto X.
I enjoy my clear roof. I do put a liner in it during the summer.

It definitely looks way better. Not sure what I would go with there, the GS is a pretty perfect spec if you have the cash outlay, C6Z is just too much really.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 5:47 pm I like the widebody look a fair piece better than the standard, and don't care about paying for the tires, but that's because I'm a Hooters meat up guy, not Auto X.

Yeah I'd go through 1-2 sets of tires per year. Way cheaper to run 255/40/17 square on a $15k C5 than to run 275/305 on 18/19 staggered on a $30k+ C6GS.Desertbreh wrote:I like the widebody look a fair piece better than the standard, and don't care about paying for the tires, but that's because I'm a Hooters meat up guy, not Auto X.

I ended up liking the clear top way more than I thought I would. Might be my favorite feature except in the summer when it's balls hot.
I scored a matching Spiral Gray top from a local Corvette dismantler for a few hundo. I just swap that on when it's really hot/sunny in the summer.

Your car is Fairway green? That'll be unlikely.
Might be one of the rarest C5 colors aside from Purple.

Just curious...why the Tick clutch master?

Well...what's wrong with your master and why do you want adjustability?
OEM masters are perfectly fine...the adjustability is really just a band aid for bigger issues. Many aftermarket clutch companies suggest NOT running an adjustable master and to just stick with OEM.

I'm going to agree. I usually hate tire letters, but in this case the tires are beefy like on a racekor, the yellow matches the bronze finish and red body paint nicely. It works.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 6:33 pm Unpopular opinion: I like the tire letters in this instance.

Hit up the autocross at the group an hour west of me today. Usually I'm at me and 's main club in Baton Rouge and the New Orleans group, but decided to go the other way for a change of pace, and because our group takes the 3 months of summer off (because OMFG it's so god damn hot down here)
Did good, no real competition in CAM-S, but I think I beat the other Cam groups. Got within the same range as a lot of guys on slicks, but OMG the gravel in this parking lot was out of control. I mean, it was so bad that you had to pre-brake to your regular brake to make sure you didn't end up in the ditch. I also must of bottomed out my car multiple times. I don't think I'll be back at this location unless it's in the Meowta where I've got more suspension travel that can take the transitions.
Results should be posted up soon.
