I had a blast on the cruises I went on with my family back when I was a teenager. 5/7 times for sure.
I was just poking around on Disney's cruise site and found out that they sail to Alaska. Looks like a 7-night trip for the three of us is 5g's on their website.
I checked out travelocity and some other cruise lines were coming up as about 4g's for the 3 of us for 7-nights around the Caribbean.
FWIW, Travelzoo is also a good resource. We've found cruise deals with them, too.

Everything gets scheduled out a week.
Initial Dr Visit = Doc says better get you to a specialist..... first appt available 8 days later
Specialist= "Thats Cancer" go for these scans and come back in a week.
2nd Visit= Yep, Cancer confirmed {I do give this guy credit because he had scheduled the Surgeon consult right after the initial visit)
Surgeon Consult: She did exactly the same examination as the ENT did, then scheduled me for a CT of the Jaw and return visit in 8 Days.
I want a plan, and I want it yesterday. My innerspace is dangerous real estate.

The only nautical odyssey I have ever been on was a Disney Cruise out of Ft Lauderdale to Bahamas (Disney has their own island, because of course they do). It was pretty cool and the kids loved it.Apex wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 1:14 pmI had a blast on the cruises I went on with my family back when I was a teenager. 5/7 times for sure.

Happily (relatively happily, at any rate) I have been doing keto for the past 18 months or so. Although there have been a few short breaks, It is super easy for me to forgo sugar and carbs at this point.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 4:50 pmReduce your sugar intake as well. Sorry dude. Believe me, I know this frustration. But keep working it and you'll get shit done. It becomes like a part time job that encroaches on your life more and more. We're all rooting for you!

Man a site takeover is one thing, but a site takeover where the previous owners are now current tenants?

Yeah, we'll probably do this when the munchkin is a little older so she'll remember it and we'll be able to do more things together.Irish wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 4:50 pmThe only nautical odyssey I have ever been on was a Disney Cruise out of Ft Lauderdale to Bahamas (Disney has their own island, because of course they do). FWIW, Carnival has a great kid program called Camp Carnival where camp counselors watch kids of all ages throughout the day and do all sorts of fun things with them, like a ship-wide scavenger hunt, etc. And they open the disco's during the day so the kids can dance and play when the disco would otherwise be unoccupied. Last I knew they did not charge extra for it, either. In a few years your will be a perfect age for that.

Actually, we do the same thing when we're in Europe. We always buy a metro pass and very rarely use a taxi.troyguitar wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 11:21 pmPublic transit FTMFW... or just walking because we were on vacation and it was the best weather of the year at the time.wap wrote:

i can relate when i'm in Istanbul, taxi's are only useful in either in places not close to metro's, dolmuş (look up), metro bus (also look up) or late nights. Best of all, you're not stuck in traffic with other cars too.wap wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 11:52 pmActually, we do the same thing when we're in Europe. Dang. Michelle’s dog has collapsed/fainted a few times over the last month or so. She took him in to get looked at but they couldn’t find anything wrong. I wonder if he’s having mini strokes or what..

Wife's first thought was "syncopal episode". It's a heart thing. She'd want to do an EKG
How long does the dog faint? Down and back up or longer?
