Look everyone we know who ever owned the 318 liked it. These pseudo fast grocery getters for 50k aint the same thing. Why doesn't bmw do a stripped down GTI competitor with RWD/AWD options? Is there really no market? The X1 sells, but i guess its a 'ute so that makes it desirable. Guess it's the world we live in nowadays. This is why old dudes never chop off their mullets or start listening to Justin Beiber.

Here I see alot of dude's in the X1 and X2 with the frau's in the Golf or the Volvo or the sedan of some type as well. I see as many women in 911's as men. Im not into the its a wife/chick car insecurity. Its a vehicle, if you like it, drive it. Life is short drive what YOU like irrespective of a judgement about a male or female type as owner.Tarspin wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 1:30 pmLed lux, less commanding view of the road, but getting there. I like quick awd hatchbacks for affordable prices. The more sporty the better, too bad bmw doesn't enter that market because I think they'd be good at it.Davestr wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 1:46 pmHere I see alot of dude's in the X1 and X2 with the frau's in the Golf or the Volvo or the sedan of some type as well. Because you obviously see no flaws with the X1? It's no M3 and its no Golf R
You're dancing around the point, I saif the 318ti was a cool car and I think thry could do a sporty no frills 2019 version of a car like that with R/AWD and I'd think it would sell. I also think it would bring back some lost credibility, especially the ultimate driving machine which it once comfortably owned. I gotta spend twenty minutes over two days defending that opinion to you guys telling me that the X1 is basically the same thing.

You have to make compromises somewhere. Cheap, fun and nice brand won’t happen.

The GTi is the closest to that listed above = Cheap(considering avg transaction price), fun and not the worst brand. Civic and or Veloster is about all there is to choose from in the US it appears. There might be something else but FoST is being killed off so thats not an option either..max225 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 2:54 pmPlenty of flaws with any vehicle you chose.Tarspin wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 2:39 pm

The idea was to elevate the E30 to Singer territory

Thank you for that poverty interlude. We went from haggling with about 911 prices and killing ourselves because some dude forecasted lower iphone sales to a question by the common man. For god's sakes man, yes, get center caps!
