I'm not sure it's even sales skills as much as communication. And communication skills are beneficial EVERYWHERE, not just the interview. By demonstrating exceptional communication skills, you can move up rather well in an organization. I see it all the time here. People ignore e-mails or don't communicate effectively in general, and sit in the same position. Those that are quick to respond AND communicate clearly move up quick. And that makes sense.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 5:07 am This goes hand in hand with my comments the other day about everyone knowing how to sell:

Your skills open the door, sales skills and communication skills get you the job.

I don't even know what effective means. Take a look at any topic here: I try really fucking hard to be absolutely crystal clear, accurate, and specific; yet often people don't get the message. It's been that way for at least 20 years.Detroit wrote:I'm not sure it's even sales skills as much as communication. And communication skills are beneficial EVERYWHERE, not just the interview.
