Older bikes are the best for their badassness to cost ratios. Even my $1200 Ninja was more fun than any car I've owned.

I except thee from my over generalization, Marshal Zhukov. The "roads" they were navigating when these were engineered in the early 1900's necessitated this. Not all that different from today, really.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Wed Oct 31, 2018 9:10 pmFuck. It’s perfect.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Oct 31, 2018 9:09 pm
Old cars had more ground clearance and a higher seating position
So much practicality! Such commanding view of the road!
What's so sad is the stretch of Woodward Avenue in front of the old Model T plant is the first stretch of paved road in the country. It's in one of the worst areas in the city (actually, a different city called Highland Park that's 100% land locked by the city of Detroit), and the road is in horrific shape. Such a commentary of society.

Guise... Clearly none of you have ever golfed. It's pretty fun. Now, rich, stuffy country club environment? No. Mediocre public NFG course? Fuckyeah.
You get to:
-be outside
-shoot the shit with friends
-get drunk during the morning
-drunk drive
-hit stuff
-occasionally get the satisfaction of an excellent hit
What's not to like? Troy's description of a better version of the bar is pretty spot on. Just don't play with lames.

I suck at golf but still enjoy it when I get to play. I don't even have to drink to enjoy it though, lol

I think some of us were referring to work-related golf outings. Which is relevant to the bolded comment above.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Nov 01, 2018 2:53 pm Guise... Clearly none of you have ever golfed. This one is 5 minutes from my house, I think I'll go drive it soon.

Too bad it's gray. There's a blue one in Lexington but it's more money for double the miles.

Mazderp, like most manufacturers, seems to be incapable of putting good gear ratios on their cars. In the iA, 3, and 6 the is 20% shorter in 6th than the auto - and I spend over 90% of my time cruising in 6th. The C5Z06 and C6Z51 gearbox is about the only one with a short-ish 2nd and a long-ish 6th that I know of... it's
Cruze Eco is also geared well now that I think about it.

Why not just keep driving the RX8 for less money and less self loathing? In4test drive

Operating costs are super high thanks to the teen mpgay, and engine will likely grenade soon.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Nov 01, 2018 6:24 pmtroyguitar wrote: ↑Thu Nov 01, 2018 6:00 pm This one is 5 minutes from my house, I think I'll go drive it soon.

You said RX8 runs on 87. Also, RX8 will still be worth $10k in four years, xA will be worth$2100.troyguitar wrote:max225 wrote: Operating costs are super high thanks to the teen mpgay, and engine will likely grenade soon.
40 mpg on 87 vs 20 on 93 == about $10k per 4 years IIRC.
