My car even has a KEY that you have to put in and TURN before you start driving. Like :wtf: were they thinking with this Great Gatsby dust bowl era technology on their halo car?

Needs more :stig:. My friend with the MK6 GLI is now up to 115k, beats the piss out of it, and hasn't had to do a carbon cleaning yet. Dummy hasn't done his timing chain yet, doe.

Tell her to give it an Italian tune-up once a week after you get the carbon cleaned.

It's a 2012 with a gen 1 TSI. Good bet it has the original tensioner design that, with that many miles, is prone to :nuke:. So yes, ~$2k job probably for new tensioner, timing cover, chains, and install.

That’s not the base GTI. That is the equivalent to the 2017 “sport” trim which is between S and SE

2019
S
Rabbit Edition/Sport
SE
Autobahn.

So Rabbit Edition = MK7.5 Sport. :notbad: The black 18" Prets are :megusta:.

Still have the piano black interior trim problems, doe. Dear automakers, please stop putting piano black trim in everything, especially around infotainment systems you have to, you know, TOUCH.
