I guess. I simply have no interest in 'murican history besides stuff like the Tesla/Edison days and World's Fair type innovations. Most things I learned about in school happened in Europe, but I did take French and art and European history whenever I had choices to skip the Manifest Destiny garbage.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 1:51 pmThing is, everything I read about in school happened out there. Funny, I've almost no interest in the history around here. A bunch of rednecks were willing to fight to the death to keep their slaves?

Been there. I lived on Naval Air Station Patuxent River for 4 years growing up. Didn't like it then, don't think I'll like it now. Just like SF, and NYC, I hate filthy congested places and that's about all I remember of the place other than seeing the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the like..Johnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 1:56 pmVisit Philly sometime. That would be the reason to come. It's pretty cool standing in Independence Hall at the same place where the declaration was signed 242 years ago.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:08 pmBeen there. We actually have a trip in our book of trips to do "one day" (my wife loves to make itineraries for this stuff) to hit up Philly, D.C. and Boston, then grab a cruise from there up to Canada that takes about a week, then fly to the west coast of Canada for a few days, then drive back down the coast. Just way too much "city" for me when I'd prefer to get a house on a lake and drive around and see countryside.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:15 pmThat would be the reason to come. Otherwise yeah it's just like any other congested city.
Boston was pretty IMO.
I hear that. When I went to Seattle I spent hardly any time in the city itself and went to the mountains instead. Some of my friends were asking if I found any good restaurants and I honestly don't give a damn because there are good restaurants here.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:19 pmWe actually have a trip in our book of trips to do "one day" (my wife loves to make itineraries for this stuff) to hit up Philly, D.C. and Boston, then grab a cruise from there up to Canada that takes about a week, then fly to the west coast of Canada for a few days, then drive back down the coast. That sounds like a 5/7 way to do a trip.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:19 pmWe actually have a trip in our book of trips to do "one day" (my wife loves to make itineraries for this stuff) to hit up Philly, D.C. and Boston, then grab a cruise from there up to Canada that takes about a week, then fly to the west coast of Canada for a few days, then drive back down the coast. Yeah, he 5 days I spent in Tennessee earlier this year were awesome. So much history and things to see. You can't throw a rock without hitting a battleground or other historic place. I could probably spend a month there sightseeing and never be bored.

Ended up being kinda painless. However the .gov rules on this make no logical sense... imagine that.

To declare their right as sovereign states to own slaves, duh.KYGTIGuy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:45 pm"Not about slavery but States rights!!!!"troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 1:40 pm

Commuting on dat autobahn doe
There are nice rural places to drive around near the DC area, roughly 45 mins from the city. Especially route 29 south of i66 that takes it to Charlottesville. Lots of vineries around there too.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:19 pmWe actually have a trip in our book of trips to do "one day" (my wife loves to make itineraries for this stuff) to hit up Philly, D.C. and Boston, then grab a cruise from there up to Canada that takes about a week, then fly to the west coast of Canada for a few days, then drive back down the coast. As much as it varies show to show to my ears, it's changed a bit over the last two years. His event with the Dead had an effect on him and his solo tours are all about experimenting with new gear/sounds. It's wild. Not like machine gun trey of '94 at all anymore... more Gilmore-esque by the day.Calvinball wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 1:03 pmGlad you had such a good time, I just don’t like them anymore. Something about Trey’s solo style...I just can’t dig it. I used to, just don’t anymore.Thedude wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 12:14 pm
Can't imagine having fun isn't your cup of tea.
The band is really on fire.
So many new people on the scene all saying the same thing "I had no idea anything like this even existed. This is amazing! Never experienced anything like it"
Employees as all the venues were getting turned out. Check out this beer vendor losing his shit to the music and jamming out...
After while his beers kinda disappeared lol
And then this young duder had his life changed at MPP
Sorry guys... I'm still on a high from it all... I may be acting like this for a few more days
