I require more doge photos and videos. I miss my dog.
My little girl on her first day home 03/17. Got her from a shelter. She was found along with her sister in a dumpster in the south according to the shelter.
How someone can do something like that is beyond me. They brought her up from Mississippi, I was casually browsing petfinder and saw another puppy in the same shelter. Went the next day and she (Maggie) came up to me and that was it. My heart knew she was the one.
She was 3 months when I got her, first few days were so hard. She was so scared she was throwing up all time.

People suck, dude. I hate hearing stuff like a dog being thrown into a dumpster. Or people beating animals and that sort of thing. She looks happy now.09vdubgti wrote: ↑Wed Aug 29, 2018 12:53 am My little girl on her first day home 03/17. Got her from a shelter. This dog is on death row at the local animal control center
4 year old Aires. He probably won't make it out. He's housebroken, fully trained, apparently affectionate, etc. Nobody came looking for him. Timestamped for tonight at 8PM.
Most of the time you see a dog like this on death row because the owners just didn't want a dog anymore. They surrender them to the ACCT saying they're moving to a new apartment that doesn't allow dogs or whatever. Most of the time they're really damn good dogs, about this age so like 2-5 years old, and end up confused, scared, very sad, and shaking in their kennels. So people looking for a dog see a scared terrified pit and think NGH I don't want that dog and walk over to the puppies that are cuter, more playful, etc.
We got Josie as a puppy. We saw a few dogs and she was the only one that came over to us and romped around on top of us, wanted to play, she was so excited when we came in her kennel that she pee'd. lol. I wouldn't do that again though, I'd look for a dog like this one.

I didn't adopt him. Probably should have doe. I follow a facebook page run by volunteers at the city pound. They do their damndest to get the pups adopted, this guy was down to the last hour when someone committed to taking him.
I don't know why I follow it though. I get a lot of the time. Sometimes good dogs make it out. Sometimes they don't.

Trying new training techniques that rely on corrections, hence the new slip lead. So far so good. She’s so damn smart it’s incredible.
