Yeah. Tier 1 seems but tier 2 seems just because there is some savings to be had there. I have to figure out whether I can handle 10-30k on my own and buy from tier 2 and above but I think they’ll be like you had to buy tier 1 to buy tier 2.

This was Brandon’s idea/endeavor while I was up to my eyes in school and work shit, so he has had to deal with all of these people. I don’t know how he hasn’t told any of them to go fuck themselves, but he has decided to never do this again.

He's a better man than me. I tried to sell a short throw shifter for my old Focus on a forum once. New was $150, I was asking $90. People were offering me $40 saying "but its USED, DUDE it's worth way less" and I countered with "it's steel, there's literally nothing to wear on it, take it or leave it you're welcome to go buy a brand new one then." It got so stupid that I just recycled it. lol.

Our alignment guy is THE guy for spec Miata stuff (which is yuge down here, thankfully), and brandon asked him if there was any point in giving the wrecked/stripped chassis to someone or if we should just scrap it, and he offered to buy that and the remainder of everything we have this weekend. I got short shipped two parts for an assembly I'm building at work.. couldn't find stock on either for over a week, and was about to slip my manufacturing schedule. Original supplier for one of them just shipped the backorder, and I just found stock of another one at one of our other suppliers. The dude it charging straight rape prices, but the supplier I originally bought from doesn't have more stock coming until 9/2019... $0.12/ea and you have to buy full 4,000 piece reels, vs the original $0.05603/ea I paid for just the quantity I needed the first time around.

No idea.. I'm still newish (1 year) to this industry, so I'm not sure if this is a raw material shortage that's preventing more of these being built or what.. but we're talking a tiny little capacitor that is 1.55x0.85mm.. No idea how these can be completely out of stock across the board. This isn't the only part or MFG that has parts showing up like this too.
