Did you come in for a test drive yet?
I think for your circumstances the Alfa would be a 5/7 experience. Design is great, probably sounds , and drives equally well. I say go for it. Sometimes you gotta live a little, too. Full
Plus, no one will have an Alfa at the next PDRBQ.
Just make sure you get roadside assistance.

Have you driven the Alfa much?
Sure it looks cool, but I wonder how much better it drives or nicer than it is inside. The SS is surprisingly great.

Also you didn’t make a pole, so you deserve to lose more money in the long run by going Alfa just for that oversight.

I'd love to buy your SS. They dont sell them here and 29k is a great price.
Dat shamrock doe, to an irishman it attracts like a pot'o'gold! Do whatever but I think the SS will depreciate really slowly and the :plaidpaisanmobile: will take a shit kicking on the used market.

Tough call.
The in me says but the in me says ; you already have a great, rare, reliable, comfortable car with , powah and sounds. Because of my previously-mentioned upbringing by one depression-era parent and one Nazi-occupation-surviving parent, I often struggle with choosing want over need. I personally wouldn't because you're about to double your inventory but I know your financial future is pretty secure what with pending inheritance (I think?) and virtually guaranteed increasing salary, plus you made the good decision of buying a house below what you could afford, so don't do what I would/wouldn't do. Plus, and perhaps most important, Dr. Rubutt is on board.
Bottom line is you may not be in this particular position in your life again where this move would make even remote sense. Carpe diem.

This raises an interesting question. If you end up offing the Shamrock earlier than you would have wanted, what would you then get instead? A Max spec douchemobile or...?

Probably worth about 29 on trade. Maybe 31 on a great day.
Opportunity -
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
Options - drivers assist package and carboner fiber steering wheel.
Out the door - 76 (this is actually high as the tax doesn't figure my trade, probably about 1800 less realistically)
The question isn't Alfa or something else in the class it's Alfa or SS.
Keeping the SS is obviously the smart decision but man my jimmes are rustled by the Quadrifoglio.
But, will it be that much not enjoyable or better than the SS. :dunno:

That would be a good idea. They might just let you do it too, especially if they have a used one on the lot or something.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 1:21 pm Insurance is $50 a month more.
I drove it but not enough to really push it. I would love to ask for an overnight. That's a fine idea.
What is the reason for the ? Just because you want it? Or are you bored/unhappy with the SS? You could always throw a supercharger on the SS to get it to the same performance or beyond the QF. Bet that costs $10k, and yeah it's thrown out the window, but you're gonna throw more than that out the window in depreciation on the QF in the first year so call it even?
At the end of the day... if you're a car enthusiast... you want to be excited to drive your car. If you're not excited to drive your car then of it or change it around to suit your desires.

Cross that bridge when you get to it. We're playing checkers here, not chess. One move at a time.
I'd probably get a 911 or Boxster S or Ariel Nomad if I had this kind of cash available.

Sat in one at an auto show. Was thoroughly unimpressed with it. They're supposed to drive nicely though. Not nearly as boner inducing as a Ferrari engined Italian kid hauler.

with this modding bs. Dude has crotchfruit and doesn't have time to deal with showing up at a toothless tunER bro's non AC'ed shop in the middle of summer to get the "summer blend fuel" tune, while sweating bullets and cringing at the thought of a 20 y/o "mechanic" tearing a nearly new vehicle apart, for the 7th time.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 1:42 pmKeep SS with[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 1:06 pm Baseline - SS has 43k miles on it. The alfa is a very rare/cool car that is arguably the most "enthusiast" oriented sedan money can buy at the moment. Modding a malibu doesn't come close... you can do that when you're sick of life and are trying to impress your fellow sideshow enthusiasts.
Seems like he has the money so why not?
