It looks ok and I like the copper color but I'm waaaaaay to to buy that shit when I have a $99 Fitbit One in my pocket and a $35 Timex Indiglo on my wrist.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 5:41 pmI actually think this looks pretty bad ass and I would have no problem paying that much for one of these goofy fucking things that complicates an already overcomplicated life if it actually looked halfway decent, which this does. Plus, let's be honest here. Way too often, tech just SUCKS what with things that are supposed to sync not syncing, routers, computers, and phones that need rebooting, glitches in all the things. Simple LCD watches WORK. Every day. All the time.

Straight up bro. I don't need a cell phone and ANOTHER CELL PHONE ON MY WRIST. Or something that counts my steps, or my calories, or tells me I'm going to die, or syncs my playlist, or whatfucking ever. I want to look down and see what fucking time it is. That's it.

Am I too young to join this party? The fanciest thing on any of my watches is a chronograph and a date window.wap wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 6:15 pmDesertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 6:14 pm

A buddy of mine has an apple watch, and he always misses texts coming in because of it. The text shows up on the watch, he accidenally triggers opening it by moving his wrist walking/working/whatever, and then the notification disappears from his phone so he doesn't realize the text ever came in. I know theres a way for him to disable that, but like said.. just way too much that can go wrong with extra tech and things having to sync up.

When I was in college you had to call people from landlines, schedule a time and a place to meet, and then just go be on time if you didn't want people to think you were a flake. You couldn't start watching porn on the internet, rub one out, realize you were 15 minutes late and then text your bro on his Iwatch "Sry brah, BRT had an emergency."SAWCE wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 6:24 pmA buddy of mine has an apple watch, and he always misses texts coming in because of it. The good old days. This guy also is a huge flake, so I'm sure he uses that sync issue as an excuse more than anything, but it's still legitimately happened a few times.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 6:29 pmWhen I was in college you had to call people from landlines, schedule a time and a place to meet, and then just go be on time if you didn't want people to think you were a flake. My parents wouldn't let me get a cell phone until I was 18 and could go get my own contract. I'd like to do that with my children. People always use the excuse that it's for an emergency.... wtf changed in the world over the last 20 years from when I was 9 to where you're so worried about your child having an emergency? If something happened to me and I wasn't near my parents, I was probably in school or at a friend's house where there was an adult to call my parents and inform them of said emergency.

Something sure did. True story, if you don't know exactly where your kid is these days you might be getting turned over to CPS.SAWCE wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 6:35 pmThe good old days. Which is weird, because I feel like kids are even bigger shitheads than ever these days. Obviously they/we/kids have always done shithead things, but with social media being what it is and everything being recorded and posted for the world to see, it just seems like they're worse than ever.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 6:38 pmSomething sure did. I have a pretty accurate idea on a daily basis, yes. At least by the time I get to dinner and Zilch is better in the kitchen and keeping it in check with cooking than I am any way. So I trust it’s usually around 400 ish.
I’m tracking my calories more carefully because I’ve been trying out different workouts. Rowing/pure barre/spin and based on my current goals, want the most for my time.

I take it you also grew up in a world where your mother would kick you out of the house in the morning and didn't expect you to come home until the street lights came on.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 6:38 pmSomething sure did.
