As of tonight the US, UK, and France have launched one of the largest strikes in history. Against the Syrian chemical weapons production, research, and storage capability.
Official numbers on the amount of munitions utilized, what kind, and any losses to coalition partners have not become available to the public.
This was a major response to the continued use of internationally banned chem weapons. As we move forward the US is fully prepared to engage if the Syrian Regieme does not correct their actions.
A significant amount of manpower was dedicated to the planning and execution of this mission. These targets hold a significant role in the processes. Their importance was a major factor in selection tonight. I highly suggest you read some articles and listen to the initial interview provided by the CJCS and Secretary Mattis.

The Brits appear to have had Typhons go in and out uncontested.

Indeed.[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 10:58 amInteresting for many reasons..."They were largely ineffective and increased risk to their own people," he said. “None of our aircraft or missiles involved in this operation were successfully engaged by Syrian air defenses.”
He also said there was no indication that Russian air-defense systems were employed during the attacks.
Can't say I'm surprised,

dammit
brain go brrrrrr
There's probably a tweet from years ago to contradict everything he says. He's a total dumbass.
I'm glad it wasn't just us this time. Having the UK and France contribute is big.
I actually think he's right to do what he is doing. Its just a shame to see so many change their opinions based on what party the president is. It's disgusting.

True, but to be fair, they also don't have an entire cable news Network devoted to feeding them propaganda to sway their opinions.

Plus, if the Ruskies tried and failed to bring down a 35, it would be a public humiliation.[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 11:22 amSeems like an opportunity for them to try and find an f-35 BUT you allow mapping of your entire infrastructure.
