Not sure if serious.

If you're going to fix the car and keep it, tow it to an indy shop, buy a used engine from www.car-part.com with a warranty (or call LKQ) and have them install it and flash it back to stock.

Do not have JD do the full repair. You'll spend 80% of what the car is worth to do it on a 7 year old tuned VW.

If you insist on doing business with JD...

https://www.jackdanielsvw.com/used/Volk ... a31574.htm

Buy that. It'll cost you $3k out of pocket. It's got 30,000 miles of powertrain warranty left, 6k of full warranty and you'll spend less money up front on that than you will to fix the GTI, and you'll still have no car payment.
That doesn't have HIDs :gtfo:

They aren't offering me cash and I really don't know that I want another VW! I don't see the harm in doing this!

My grandmother has no money.

Due respect, :crang: once the lease is up in my GTI these are the options I am considering, some would be considered “downgrades” in the eyes of GTI if you compared year-to-year:

1. 2018 VW GLI
2. 2018 VW Golf SE
3. 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback
4. 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport
5. 2018 Jetta S

I won’t have the creature comforts I do now but I don’t need most of them. Neither do you. You need:
1. A mode of transportation
2. Reliable
3. Fuel efficient
4. City friendly
5. Affordable

You don’t NEED bi-xenons
I bought a GTI when I was 43 yoa without Bi-Xenons. Every car I had before that did not have Bi-Xenons. Basically I have lived in slavery for my entire life. Crang, don't listen to these guys, if you have to get a car with Bi-Xenon lighting, you might as well kill yourself.

Bruh you know this isn't true. Car drove fine with the broken camshaft so who cares. I mean he drove it onto the flat bed FFS. Nobody can see a camshaft therefore it doesn't matter nearly as much as HIDz.

you are exposing yourself to all the risk with NONE of the benefits with that move. This is the 2nd stupidest thing to do behind doing this and letting your mother drive it.
