Awesome! You already have everything planned out?

Thanks!
Not yet. We're not going until later this year. We're flying into Zurich and flying home from Geneva, so we're for sure spending a few days in each of those cities. I've tentatively found a couple hotels but haven't pulled the trigger yet. We're currently looking at picking up a Swiss Rail transportation card to take day trips to other towns as well. Currently on our radar are day trips to Lucerne, Bern, and Laussane, so we may visit as many as 5 cities while we're there.
Have you been to Switzerland?
I have not, but my good friend (best man at wedding) is a dual citizen. I’ll gladly ask him for suggestions if you want.

I don't understand anything anymore.
link is good. Id also say the rail in Switzerland is its entire own thing worth taking just to see the lakes and mountains. Its the most beautiful place I've seen humans inhabit.

I decided that since I gave you good London intel, for which you expressed gratitude, that you were not spinning me and I clicked the link. Was not disappointed. Grassy ass.
We plan on getting an 8 day rail pass. Hopefully we'll pass through Interlaken on our way from Zurich to Geneva.

So no London visit this trip? I'm sure Belgrade has it's charms, but London >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Belgrade.
What's your final destination, or route, again?

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.
Got home around the same time as gf today (since we have similar commutes). We will start car pooling next week to see how it works out. GF was 5/7 today cuz a brah in a mustang kept following her. She decided to pull into our community but the car pulled off. I told her that it must've been a coincidence since we have a major interstate access road bordering our community. She was weirded out because she "cut him off" earlier while driving. I told her worst case scenario you DO. NOT. GO. HOME. find a highly public area, make random turns, etc. But she also has a dashcam recording audio whenever it's on so I also instructed her anytime she's freaked out she should describe the car, the driver, and the license plate and save the video as an emergency video.

Then back north up the west coast. Rome > Siena > Pisa > Florence > Rural area/vineyards > Venice. Venice to Houston home.
Neat.
Been to any of those places before?
Yes, all. Wife has never been. Thats why Im hoping to find a great new place between florence and Venice. I did a summer study in Italy and was in Florence for like 9 weeks. Then 1.5 weeks of traveling Europe.
edit, not been to Capri or Naples. I couldnt get that far south.

Cool. Loved Florence and REALLY loved Venice. How about Padua or Verona for towns sort of between Venice and Florence? Modena is between them, too...

what will you do? how you can even consider going there?
I know. I'll feel so terribly unsafe.
And yes I know that many (most?) Swiss homes are armed. They're also trained.
Funny story, my friend almost didn’t make it home after one visit when he was a teenager; they were going to keep him for the mandatory military service based on his age.
