One is made of a couple pounds of metal and shoots bullets that kill people
Another is made of a couple thousand pounds of metal and has all season tires and runs over children which kills them

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

Oh look, drawing conclusions nobody implied again.
Car owners need to exercise the same level of responsibility as gun owners. How is this not understandable?
Apparently you're cool with people running around leaving guns anywhere. Not the gun owner's fault that someone uses it for bad stuff.
Gotta register your car for a reason. Don't need to register a gun doe.
Nah breh, just ban them all. #Podlyfe will be here in a few years and solve everything.

Which will be great because someone sees a pod running outside the convenience store and jumps in it, it'll happily and safely take them to where they want to go

I can't wait to see the youtube videos of people throwing things (and themselves) in front of pods to see how the AI reacts.
It's going to be such a shitshow.

Pod company could make a lucrative youtube channel of just podcams and drivers and retard jaywalkers and such. I'd sub to it.
Until those people sue the company for using them without their permission.
The insurance scams are going to be insane.

What do you mean you don’t have to register a gun?
Also, it is illegal to carry an unlocked gun here. That means you can’t even carry it out of your house unless it is under a lock and key box.

How is this a valid argument at all. A car is not a weapon. I can use a shopping cart to murder a bunch of innocent kids at a grocery store, and or stab people with the knifes they sell. Better lock em up real quick

There are cities here where it's illegal to leave your car running unattended. Every now and then a news report will flash up about someone getting a ticket for using remote start.

No required gun registration in Louisiana.
No need for car registration then either. Cars aren't at all weapons.

Illegal to leave a car unlocked and running unattended in PA.
For what its worth so far historically if a gun is stolen and used in a crime the owner usually isn't liable. But to take the example of it being left on a bench like the iphone I'm sure it would get more complicated. Overall if it was stolen from your home during a break in I think you'd be pursued civilly not criminally. Same as if your car was running and unlocked, stolen, and then used in a crime. Unlikely to be held responsible criminally but say that car caused a wrongful death you bet you'll be sued for negligence.
I'm not a lawyer but I did read one article on the internet and that qualifies me as an expert in today's standards
